In September, two MMORPGs and a game from Blizzard celebrate their release. Additionally, there are some major updates that we don’t want to withhold from you. We at MeinMMO present to you the most important games that could be interesting for you in September.
What kind of games are these? The selected games are online games that you can experience together with friends or unknown players. Each game celebrates its release in September 2021 or receives an update that brings significant innovations.
On the last page, there is also a little outlook on what else is happening in September. This includes smaller updates, beta events, or releases that will only take place towards the end of the month.
How did this list come about? This list is intended to inform you about new releases and updates and was compiled by MMORPG expert Alexander Leitsch. Each game will be introduced in more detail throughout the article, and it will be revealed for whom the respective title is worthwhile.

New World – Beta and Release

What kind of game is this? In New World, you play an MMO that includes many PvE and PvP elements. As a shipwrecked person, you reach the mysterious island Aeternum, where Azoth, a mystical material, is located.
On the island, you will encounter wild beasts, the hostile NPC faction named the Corrupted, who have come into contact with Azoth, as well as hostile players whom you can fight in optional PvP.
In the endgame, much will revolve around dungeons, world events, PvP, and collecting the best equipment.
The Highlights of New World
New World was originally a PvP and survival game, but it has increasingly incorporated PvE elements. It now feels like a solid MMORPG for all types of players:
- You can level a character up to level 60, and New World does not use classes. Your weapon determines your playstyle.
- From Level 10 onwards, you can join one of 3 factions and optionally fight the others in the open world and in instanced battles for strongholds.
- New World offers 6 different dungeons at launch, one of which we have already tested extensively.
- There are quests and events in the completely open world.
- There is a very detailed crafting system through which you can obtain endgame equipment.
- In PvP, there are the wars in 50v50 and the Outpost Rush, a mode for 40v40 stronghold battles.
Why you should play New World in September
From September 9 to September 13, the open beta will take place. During this time, any player can try out New World via Steam. The goal of the beta is primarily to stress the servers that had issues during the closed beta.
On September 28, the release of New World will take place, after it has already been postponed several times. This is the ideal time to start with Amazon’s MMO. You will start with thousands of players simultaneously and can be among the first to fight for strongholds.
