What kind of game is this? GTFO (Get The Fuck Out) is a new shooter that is best compared to games like Left 4 Dead or PayDay. In a team of 4 people, you move through different levels, complete a task, and then get out.
Ideally, you draw as little attention to yourselves as possible. Tactical advancement is a must. If cautious approaches fail, you generally hunker down in a safe position and hope you have more bullets than enemies.
GTFO was created by the Swedish indie studio 10 Chamber. Many members of the studio have previously worked on Payday.

- You can complete entire missions in hardcore mode and potentially lose all your progress on a mistake or use optional checkpoints.
- There are different expeditions with various difficulty levels. A stands for easier missions, E for very hard ones. Some expeditions offer multiple difficulty levels.
- There are different weapons you can choose from before starting a mission.
- Tactics and communication with teammates are important since you have very little ammunition available.
- You can play with up to three AI companions if your friends are not currently online.

GTFO was initially released in Early Access in 2019 and surprisingly celebrated its full release on December 10, 2021. This led to a noticeable boost in players.
While in previous months only about 300 to 600 players were online at the same time, on December 11, the shooter broke its player record with 11,122 concurrent users online. Since then, the numbers have also remained significantly above 5,000.
