What kind of game is this? Final Fantasy XIV is a large, classic MMORPG in the famous Final Fantasy series by Square Enix. The game was completely revamped and relaunched after a catastrophic first release. Since then, the game has been extremely successful and even recently surpassed World of Warcraft on Twitch.

In mid-April 2022, FF14 will receive new content with update 6.1 “Newfound Adventure”. These include:
- A focus on the good old days when you were just a simple adventurer
- A new extreme trial for the endgame
- A new housing area called Empyreum
- A return of the quirky master detective Hildibrand
- New PvP content called Crystalline Conflict
Especially the new competitive mode Crystal Conflict, which comes instead of the previous mode FEAST, is a particular highlight.
Two groups of 5 players fight against each other, and the goal is not just to eliminate opponents. Rather, you should bring the Tactical Crystal in the center of the arena to the enemy base.
There’s also a reward system that particularly appeals to our author Irina Moritz and alleviates her previous aversion to PvP.

The content update 6.1 brings a large wave of content and is a good reason for every fan of the MMORPG to take a look again.
