In October, in addition to these 5 major updates, there will also be some beta tests and a release that will only take place at the end of the month.
Elyon – Release
What kind of game is this? Elyon is a free-to-play MMORPG that was released in Korea in December 2020. It plays like a mix of TERA and Black Desert:
- There are 6 different classes, linear quests, and dungeons like in TERA
- There is PvP in the open world, and the equipment system also relies on luck, similar to Black Desert
- The combat system requires active targeting and dodging, but has longer animations, which reduces the dynamics a bit
- The shop also resembles Black Desert and offers pets with auto-loot and less XP loss upon death
However, what is particularly interesting is that each skill comes in different versions. You can choose whether it will be a melee or ranged attack or whether the damage will target one enemy or be distributed directly to multiple enemies. Battlefield 2042 – Beta Test
What kind of game is this? The new installment of the shooter series is called Battlefield 2042 and will have a modern, slightly futuristic setting. As known from the series, you will experience gigantic battles on land, at sea, and in the air.
The game will forgo a story campaign, focusing instead on multiplayer battles. Up to 128 players (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) can measure themselves on different maps and in various modes.
Additionally, the “Hazard Zone” mode has already been found – a PvEvP mode reminiscent of games like Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown.
What is happening in October? In October, the open beta for Battlefield 2042 will finally start. Here are the important dates:

- The preload starts on October 5 at 9 AM
- The early access phase starts on October 6 at 9 AM and runs until October 7
- From October 8 at 9 AM, all players can participate
- The beta ends on October 10 at 9 AM
What exactly will be in the beta is not yet known. There was previously an alpha playtest for selected individuals. However, every player can participate in the open beta.

Riders Republic – Release
What kind of game is this? Riders Republic is a new MMO where up to 50 players can move together in a game world. This world is modeled after American national parks and looks really good.
In the game, players can compete in special competitions or simply in the open world. Fights can take place in the open world, in 6v6, in free-for-all with 12 players, or in a versus mode directly against friends. Rewards come in the form of cool and sometimes very outrageous cosmetics.
What is happening in October? On October 28, Riders Republic will finally celebrate its release after several delays. However, to play the MMO, you must purchase it once beforehand. The game will be Buy2Play.
