In April 2021, a completely new shooter is set to be released. But there are also some changes in other online games and MMOs. We from MeinMMO have written down the games and innovations that we can recommend to you in April.
What games are these? The selected games are online games that you can experience together with friends or complete strangers. Each selected title will receive an update in April, celebrate its release, or offer some special feature that makes playing worthwhile right now.
We have mixed the selected games and the order does not reflect any ranking. On the last page, there is also a small outlook on what else will happen in April. Among them is, for the first time, a game that we currently cannot recommend, but you should keep an eye on.
Outriders – Release of the new shooter

What kind of game is this? In Outriders you play as a third-person loot shooter that mixes various playstyles. The developers themselves compare themselves most to Diablo and its RPG factor, visually it resembles a mix of sci-fi and fantasy.
You can venture out alone or in a group of up to three players to explore the game. In missions, you collect gear, level up your characters, and become more powerful.
In the story, the Earth has been destroyed, and the last remnants of humanity have found refuge on the planet Enoch. Players take on the role of an Outrider and are part of an elite team tasked with exploring the beautiful planet.
However, an anomaly storm rages on the planet, killing humans or, in rare cases, granting them special abilities.
These are the highlights of Outriders
Outriders describes itself as a finished game at release. There will be no microtransactions, battle passes, or content that gets patched in later. If the shooter is well received, future expansions are possible.
At launch on April 1, you can expect:
- 4 classes, each offering 3 sub-classes
- 30 hours of main story and at least 30 hours of side missions
- Crafting and upgrades for your gear
- Expeditions in the endgame with 15 different difficulty levels
- Lots of loot and an item spiral with legendary gear at the top
If you wish, you can already try Outriders in a demo. This demo will remain available even after the game’s release, allowing you to get a feel for the shooter without having to buy it right away. If you want, your progress from the demo will be transferred to the game.
Why you should play Outriders in April
If you are looking for a new loot shooter, you could start right on April 1 with Outriders. The game had its release then. So you can still join quite fresh at the release, explore new areas, and collect loot. If you have already played the demo before, you can even transfer your progress.
