The Korean film industry has become increasingly well-known and popular in recent years. This has led to a significant increase in the number of K-movies and K-dramas available on German streaming services. Particularly popular genres are romances and action series.
We want to focus on the latter in the following list and present five action-packed series that are worth watching.
In creating the list, we made sure that the series are available for streaming in Germany. Additionally, the series deal with many different topics, ensuring that there should be something suitable for every action fan.

D.P. is an adaptation of the webtoon D.P.: Dog Days by Kim Bo-tong.
Military service is mandatory for all young men between 18 and 28 years in South Korea. The series tells the story of young South Korean An Jun Ho (Jung Hae In) who begins his military service. As part of his training, he is assigned to the military police and eventually ends up in the special unit D.P., which stands for Deserter Pursuit
.
His new unit is responsible for capturing and returning deserters. Jun Ho finds himself repeatedly in complicated and, above all, confusing situations. To find the deserters, the special unit explores their personal stories, backgrounds, and motives.
In doing so, Jun Ho reveals the painful reality behind completing military service.
Bloodhounds

Bloodhounds is an adaptation of the webtoon of the same name by Jeong Chan.
The series follows the story of two best friends Kim Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Hong Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi), who meet at a boxing tournament and ultimately become friends after an exciting fight against each other.
Gun Woo is regarded as a talented boxer with big ambitions. When he learns that his mother is heavily in debt to a ruthless loan shark who exploits the desperation of his borrowers, he decides to help. He must put his boxing career on hold to do so.
Determined to help him, his best friend introduces him to some influential people, including Mr. Choi (Heo Joon Ho), who was once ruthless himself but is now a kind-hearted lender. Together, they decide to take action against the loan shark, who, at the same time, is pursuing his own plan.
Kingdom

Kingdom is based on the manhwa “The Land of the Gods“, a Korean comic by Kim Eun Hee.
For several days, the king has not been seen, which stirs rumors in the land. The royal court tries to suppress the rumors of the king’s death. At the same time, the court faces the great question of succession to the throne.
For now, Crown Prince Chan (Ju Ji Hoon) is the rightful heir to the throne. This could only change if the queen (Kim Hye Jun) gives birth to her own son. Since Chan was born from an affair, he would no longer have a claim to the throne.
Concerned about the rumors of his father’s death, Chan sneaks into the palace, as the queen refuses to let him in. In the area of the palace separated for the king, the crown prince notices a foul smell and a creature that he cannot quite identify but makes sounds like an animal. He cannot find his father as he is told he has left the palace.
While problems at the court arise, a village simultaneously falls victim to an epidemic that transforms all its inhabitants into bloodthirsty creatures.

My Name is a thriller series that tells the story of the young woman Yoon Ji Woo, who seeks revenge after the death of her father.
After the unexpected loss and driven by the urge for revenge, Ji Woo desperately turns to her father’s best friend, Choi Mu Jin (Park Hee Soon). He is the drug lord of a gang called Dongcheonpa.
To uncover the true reason for her father’s death, the young woman joins the police, with the help of her boss, and becomes an undercover agent in his drug gang.
Although new to the police, Ji Woo becomes known under the name Oh Hye Jin and is soon assigned to the drug investigation department, where she investigates alongside Jeon Pil Do (Ahn Bo Hyun). Her new investigator colleague does not particularly like the young woman at first, as she messes up an operation that had been in preparation for six months.
Unheimliche Gegner

This mystery thriller is based on a popular webtoon.
Unheimliche Gegner accompanies the story of 18-year-old So Mun (Jo Byeong Gyu), who suddenly has an important task after a strange event.
One day, the young man is struck by a flash of light, becoming the host for a fallen Counter
. What exactly this entails, he soon learns from three people who run a small noodle shop during the day but turn into demon hunters – the so-called Counters or Soul Collectors – at night.
Now, So Mun also counts as a demon hunter and must quickly turn his life around. At night, he goes demon hunting with his three new colleagues. For this, they use their supernatural powers to give the spirits a good beating.
After they encounter a spirit with unforeseen powers, the soul collectors also sense a political conspiracy that could have consequences for the entire country.
