In FIFA 22 the popular Pro Clubs mode finally needs some really big innovations. MeinMMO shows you what EA Sports could improve in Pro Clubs.
The release of FIFA 22 is in sight (October 1, 2021) and there is already first info about the new gameplay as well as new FUT contents. But regarding Pro Clubs in FIFA 22, EA has not said a word yet. We at MeinMMO are curious about what new features the mode will receive and show you the biggest wishes of the FIFA community.

These innovations Pro Clubs needs in FIFA 22
What actually is Pro Clubs? For many FIFA players, Pro Clubs is the best mode in FIFA, as it comes relatively close to real football playing. You control only one single player that you created beforehand and try to impress on your own position in an online match. You can occupy every position from goalkeeper to striker and earn points through good actions and ratings to continuously improve your Pro.
The special appeal comes from the multiplayer aspect, as matches of 11 VS 11 with 22 human players are theoretically possible. However, matches with 3 to 6 real players per team are the norm.
1. Substitutions and live broadcasts
Many Pro Clubs players might know it: You agree to play, arrive a little late and your friends have already started and are in the middle of the first match. Now you have no choice but to wait until the game is over and listen to your friends in the party during the match.
Wouldn’t it be much cooler if you could actually watch the match live and cheer for your friends? It would be fabulous to be able to substitute into the ongoing game, perhaps to score the decisive goal. We are curious whether we will see such innovations in FIFA 22.
2. More realistic players
While Pro Clubs already offers the possibility to create realistic players that are quite similar to real footballers, you often encounter quite unrealistic players on the virtual pitch with body shapes that make no footballing sense. You constantly play against tiny 1.60 m strikers who are unstoppable fast and agile. Larger, stronger, and thus more realistic strikers play hardly any role in Pro Clubs.
It would be better if Pro Clubs rewarded players who wouldn’t just rely on speed and the current meta. A more balanced gameplay could help here.
3. Better AI for CPU players
FIFA 21 finally brought the option to set the tactics of CPU teammates to gain more control over the game – a pretty practical innovation. However, unfortunately, the CPU players do not always act very smartly. Often, especially in attacking play, the virtual teammates are overwhelmed and prefer to pass the ball back and forth instead of initiating an attack.
More game intelligence and more variance in attacking play are thus innovations that many Pro Clubs players would wish for.
4. Better matchmaking
While you can set in Pro Clubs to only face teams with the same number of human players, unfortunately, this option does not work correctly. Often, for example, as a 3-player team, you still encounter teams with significantly more real players, which can lead to a severe defeat.
Additionally, it’s somewhat unfair when you have to compete against teams that play 2 leagues higher in the season mode – especially since the CPU players are then stronger.
5. More modes for more variety
Currently, you can either start an instant match with random FIFA players or play cup or season matches with friends and your own club. You start in League 10 and can, with patience and skill, work your way up to League 1. However, there are unfortunately no more exciting modes available in Pro Clubs.
A little variety wouldn’t hurt for the player base. How about a training arena for your own Pro Club? You could train with your teammates there, conduct training matches, or improve your own skills.
We are curious whether EA will introduce some points from this list for Pro Clubs. Do you play Pro Clubs yourself and what innovations do you wish for? Let us know in the comments!
