Neverwinter
Neverwinter, also known as the “Jewel of the North,” is one of the most famous cities on the Sword Coast in Faerûn. Despite numerous disasters – including a devastating volcanic eruption and political unrest – the city has continually recovered and is seen as an emerging center for trade, craftsmanship, and adventure.
In the well-known video games of the Neverwinter Nights series as well as in various campaign modules of Dungeons & Dragons, the city plays a role, such as in Storm King’s Thunder or Phandelver and Below: Shattered Obelisk.
Additionally, the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves takes place in part in Neverwinter. Characteristic of Neverwinter is the river of the same name, which does not freeze even in the deepest winter, and its proximity to the dangerous wilderness of the Neverwinter Wood, which holds many secrets.
