3. Nosferatu
Expected theatrical release: December 25, 2024 (US release, DE release unknown)
Once again, Nosferatu is being remade. This time by Robert Eggers, who has shown with The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman that he can direct interesting and certainly quirky films. It concerns the titular vampire, who haunts a woman in Germany in the 19th century and brings chaos.
Bill Skarsgård plays Nosferatu, who already embodied an iconic monster as Pennywise, and Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Nicholas Hoult promise an interesting film as well. Additionally, there are fewer gothic horror films nowadays, and new titles in this genre are always welcome.

4. MaXXXine
Expected theatrical release: 2024
Mia Goth returns as Maxine with Ti West as director and brings us the third part of his trilogy in 2024. After the events of X, Maxine tries to continue her acting career in Los Angeles in the 80s.
With X, West directed a modern slasher film, and with Pearl last year, a quirky film about a slowly decaying girl who succumbs to violence and madness. Especially Mia Goth impresses in both films and is a guarantee for an extraordinary horror film, this time in a new setting.
