What is The Division 2? The Division 2 is a tactical open-world shooter where you play as an agent of a special unit alongside many other agents. Your goal is to liberate Washington DC from enemies and combat a new plague.
After the green poison seemed defeated in part 1, you are now tasked with forming a functioning government again. However, the plan faces various difficulties such as new enemy groups or the absence of the president.
Here are the key features:
- Various specializations that broadly represent your “class”.
- Hundreds of different items to create your own unique build.
- Open-world tasks as well as strongholds and raids for groups.
- High-end and PvP areas in the Dark Zones.
The long-term motivation of The Division 2: As a loot shooter, the long-term motivation of The Division 2 mainly lies in players gradually perfecting their own builds or trying new things.
The best loot can be found in challenging raids that lure players with real boss fights for eight players or in besieged “strongholds” at the highest available difficulty.
“Theory Crafting” is a big and important part of The Division 2, and you can invest hours into the game to create, for example, the perfect PvE build with the ideal stats.
Additionally, The Division 2 offers a PvP mode with the Dark Zones to compete with others and discover even more facets of the game. Constant updates bring new content, such as new missions or new specializations.
