3. Enotria: The Last Song
Platform: PC, Xbox Series, PS5 | Release: Not yet known
Here, too, the world is apparently bright and sunny. Enotria: The Last Song takes you to Italy and confronts you with its folklore. You can steal masks from enemies that you can use to change your playstyle. The transformations have pros and cons.
What stands out most is the Italian architecture and landscape captured. This is a setting one would rather see in an old Assassin’s Creed. But still, you must not let yourself be lulled, because even in Enotria, not everything seems to be as it appears at first glance.
2. Lies of P
Platform: PC, Xbox Series, PS5, PS4 | Release: September 19, 2023
Not only Dark Souls but also Bloodborne is now a source of inspiration for many developers. And no game screams Bloodbornelike
as much as Lies of P. The game is a Soulslike in a steampunk world with special elements from classic fairy tales.
In keeping with that, you also play as Pinocchio, who fights against many mechanical enemies with various weapons, abilities, and his robotic arm. Even the trailer conveys the dark atmosphere excellently. The enemy design is also inspired by dark versions of well-known fairy tales, making it seem like an unexploited visual approach despite the inspirations.
