In Lorenhall there are many new mounts for World of Warcraft. We present 5 of these new mounts to you and reveal how you can acquire them.
Patch 11.1 Lorenhall is live and teeming with new content and a fresh season. But collectors also have plenty to discover again, as a variety of new mounts are hidden in the update. Here we show you 5 new mounts that you can farm with relatively little effort. This is sometimes tied to a bit of luck but requires quite little skill – so you can work on the mounts almost “on the side”.
Salvaged Goblin Goldbag Flyer
The mount drops from the rare spawn “Trash of Garbagio”. This rare enemy does not have a fixed spawn point but can appear whenever a scrap pile is fully excavated, meaning the display jumps to 500 / 500.
You can see the scrap piles on the map of Lorenhall when you are present in the area. They have the icon of a small trash can.
There is always one scrap pile active. Once one is completed, it takes only about 2 minutes for the next to become available.
Although it is possible to raise the display to 500 / 500 alone, it is significantly easier with a group. In the group finder, there are usually several groups; just search for the term “Scrap” – alternatively, 1-2 friends are enough to farm the scrap piles as a small group.
Garbagio’s Trash spawns relatively rarely and you only have one chance per day for the mount. After the first kill of the day, you can either leave it at that or switch to a second character.
Personalized Goblin Shredder
You can indirectly get a second mount from the same source. While rummaging through scrap piles, you will receive a new currency – “Empty Kaja’Cola Cans”. Normally, you get several hundred of them per scrap pile, so you will quickly accumulate a decent amount.
For every 333 cans, you can exchange them at the NPC Angelo Rustbucket for a box called “Rummaged Scrap Pile”. These boxes usually contain small amounts of currencies, such as gold, but also have a chance of a special pet – and indeed a mount, the “Personalized Goblin Shredder”.
The chance for this mount is low, so you will need to buy several boxes. Most players seem to receive the mount by their 50th box at the latest – many get it much earlier.
You can consider this mount as an additional bonus while you farm the “Trash of Garbagio” rare spawn.
Innovation Investigator
You essentially farm this mount “on the side” while experiencing adventures in Lorenhall. Once in a while, you can get the item “Various Mechanica” from the rare enemies. This is a blue item that appears to be useless at first glance – but you should definitely hold onto it!
For every 25 of these items, you can exchange them for pets and mounts. There are a total of 3 mounts to choose from, but we want to focus on the “Innovation Investigator”. This gray rocket in the style of goblins is perfect for darting through the air away from Lorenhall and leaving an explosive impression.
You can find the merchant “Skedgit Glutfransen” at coordinates 43 / 83 in Lorenhall. You may need to complete her (short) questline first if she doesn’t want to sell you anything.
Of course, you can also spend the Mechanica on one of the other mounts if they suit your taste better.
Deep Explorer Gobtrotter
A mount that you can obtain very quickly is the Deep Explorer Gobtrotter. This is essentially the “Season Mount” for visiting the depths.
To get the mount, you simply need to travel to Thornogal after the start of the 2nd season and visit Brann Bronzebeard. The dwarf will give you a quest to find his beloved hat – which will of course be in a depth.
After you have retrieved the hat from any depth, you will receive the mount without any further ado!
As in the first season, you can unlock additional skins and customizations for the Gobtrotter. You do this through the season progress for the depths and the corresponding merchant.
However, you can basically “take away” the basic version thanks to the hat quest – this is essentially a free mount that requires very little effort on your part. Only those who want all additional customizations will have to spend a lot of time in the depths.
A.S.M.R. Prototype
The last mount on this list is the A.S.M.R. prototype, which stands for “Automatic Sound Machine Resonator”.
The mount is a rare drop from Chromking Gallywix, the final boss in the raid “The Liberation of Lorenhall”.
Unlike many other mounts, this mount drops on all difficulty levels, even in the “LFR” variant. You can simply search for a group for the boss through the raid search and defeat it to have a chance at the mount.
You can repeat this every week with as many characters as you have available.
If you are also part of a “normal” or “heroic” raid group, you will obviously have additional chances at the coveted mount.
However, note that the drop chance for the mount is relatively low. It may take a while before you get this stylish goblin flying mount into your hands. It is definitely the mount with the highest luck component on this list.
