The MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online was released in April 2007, which already shows that it does not require modern hardware. Nevertheless, LotRO, as the title is abbreviated, still visually makes a pleasant impression.
You find yourself in the fantasy world of Middle-earth and experience an adventure that takes place concurrently with the novel The Lord of the Rings. Your paths constantly cross with the Fellowship of the Ring and you complete many exciting quests, explore a very large game world with dark dungeons, and team up to fight numerous monsters. PvP is optional, making LotRO a classic MMORPG experience.
Even in 2018, LotRO continues: The Ring is destroyed, now it continues in The Lord of the Rings Online in the Old Forest.
