If you want to give a gamer a gift, it can get expensive quickly – especially if it’s an ambitious player who expects better performance from the hardware they use. MeinMMO editor Dariusz presents you here some gift ideas under €50 that you can give to almost any gamer.
What kind of gift ideas are these? I have gathered 5 gift ideas for you, of which I believe every gamer can use at least one of these gifts. I have made sure not to exceed the price limit of €50.
I deliberately refrained from recommending a mouse or keyboard, a professional controller with extra buttons, a microphone, a back-friendly chair, speakers, or similar items. These are all products that have a significant impact on the gaming experience, and it’s easy to buy “the wrong” one. Additionally, these are often not cheap products, which is why a wrong purchase would be even more frustrating.
1. Snuggie with Sleeves – about €20
The most important and best gift first: A Snuggie with sleeves. Nobody wants to feel uncomfortable or freeze while gaming. A warming Snuggie is always a good idea. To ensure that movement isn’t restricted while gaming, I recommend a blanket with sleeves. This way, one can snuggle into the blanket and still use a mouse, keyboard, controller, or even a steering wheel unhindered.
2. USB Hub – about €10
We gamers have thousands of devices connected to our PC or console, and many of them are powered by a USB connection. Here, a USB hub can prove to be very useful, as it provides additional USB ports. This way, your favorite gamer won’t have to constantly switch the connected devices/cables and potentially climb behind the desk.
For me, a USB hub from “Anker” has proven itself. It works both on a PC and with a PlayStation or Xbox. I have been using it for about 4 years now and it still works perfectly – proving to be durable and reliable.

3. Mouse Pad – available in every price range
Many gamers do have a mouse pad but don’t maintain it regularly and play on one that is completely worn out. A new, clean mouse pad not only looks nice, but it can also help that said gamer plays better – for example, because the mouse glides better again.
Since there are countless different mouse pads, you can find one in every price range. If your favorite gamer likes to play competitively, they may prefer a certain speed for the mouse pad. However, many gamers do not care about that at all. Here, it might be useful to do a little digging beforehand.
4. Stick Attachments or Mouse Feet – €10-20
Depending on whether your favorite gamer plays with a mouse and keyboard or primarily holds a controller, new mouse feet or attachments for the sticks can be a good and relatively inexpensive gift idea.
Why are mouse feet useful? Mouse feet are the sliding surfaces underneath the mouse. They make contact with the mouse pad and can actually wear out – many gamers don’t know that. If the mouse feet are heavily worn, it can damage the mouse pad. This will also wear out, reducing the glide quality of the mouse pad. It can be sensible to occasionally replace mouse feet.
Ideally, you can find this out with clever questions.
I personally have been using mouse feet from Corepad on various mice for several years and am very satisfied with their quality. They have a good lifespan, are easy to apply, and do not come off the mouse unintentionally.

Why are attachments for the sticks useful? The thumbsticks (short sticks) of a controller are responsible for controlling the game character and therefore constantly come into contact with the thumbs of the gamer while gaming. Over time, this causes them to wear out – especially with intense use. However, not everyone dares to replace the stick of a controller, and it’s often not worth it to send a years-old controller for repair just to change the stick – especially when the sticks are “only” worn but otherwise work.
Instead of replacing a stick, you can buy attachments for the sticks. They come in different varieties. Some are particularly high and are supposed to improve performance while playing, while others are simple rubber covers that protect the stick and potentially provide more grip.
5. In-Ear Headphones Instead of Heavy Headset – about €25
Why headphones? Many gamers play with a headset. However, they come with several disadvantages, starting with the fact that even audio experts say that gaming headsets are not of good quality. They are often quite heavy, warm on the ears in summer, and ruin the gamer’s hairstyle.
Nevertheless, many gamers are reluctant to use in-ear headphones. However, having a cheap pair at home as an alternative isn’t a bad idea: for example, if the headset breaks or if the fabric covers of the ear cups need to be washed.
I personally have been gaming with various IEMs (in-ear monitors) for about 2 years and can recommend the 7Hz Salnotes Zero for shooter players. With these headphones, I have heard my opponents’ footsteps better in games like Valorant or Rainbow Six: Siege due to the neutral tuning than with expensive gaming headsets that cost me over €250. But even compared to other IEMs, the Zero is incredibly good for the price.

However, I tested the headphones with a cable without a microphone and cannot comment on the quality of the microphone. Experience shows that the microphone on such cables is usually not very high quality. If there is a need, you can give a USB microphone as a gift for Easter or the next birthday.
If you are unsure about what to think of the Hz Salnotes Zero and whether they are suitable as a gift, you can read my complete review of the headphones on MeinMMO: Audio expert designs headphones for under €30 and I have never heard steps in a shooter so well
