5th Generation in Pokémon GO – What is known?
When is the 5th generation coming? The first wave of new Pokémon will arrive next month. On September 16 at 10 PM, the first monsters from the Unova region will be introduced into the game.
Which Pokémon are coming at the start? Niantic has already mentioned some names that will be added to the game upon release. All of them will also be available as Shiny:
- Klikk
- Nagelotz
- Yorkleff
Additionally, they showed in a short video about the Ultra Bonus the 3 starters Serpifeu, Floink, and Ottaro. So it seems that the 3 mentioned Pokémon are not the only ones coming to the game at launch. One might expect a similar wave as was the case at the start of the 4th generation.
What does the 5th generation have to offer? The Unova region offers a vast amount of new Pokémon. A total of 156 can be registered in the PokéDex.
We have already summarized some highlights for you:
- 6 legendary Pokémon that will be particularly useful
- 7 non-legendary Pokémon that dominate their types
How could the 5th generation be released? If Niantic sticks to their pattern from the last generation, the release of the entire generation could take a long time. The last wave of new Pokémon was introduced in May of this year, almost half a year after the release of the 4th generation.
Moreover, the 5th generation will certainly include regional Pokémon again. It remains to be seen whether we will receive an exclusive Pokémon in Germany.
The data miner Chrales also found the Unova Stone, an evolution item. This indicates that not all Pokémon can be developed normally again, but special items will be required. Similar to the Sinnoh Stone from the 4th generation.
Besides the normal Pokémon, there are also 9 legendary Pokémon and 4 mysterious Pokémon. Surely many candidates for raids, EX-raids, and special research will be included.
What is your highlight from the 5th generation? Which monster are you particularly looking forward to?
