There are hardly any differences between PS4 / Xbox One and PC
Even if the two camps like to tease and insult each other: The lines between console and PC are increasingly blurring – especially in online gaming.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are the generation that is designed for online gaming with Xbox Live and PSN. It is no longer a problem to port and operate MMORPGs on these platforms.
As more and more households have consoles, we will see a port boom in online gaming in 2018. Successful games that used to be exclusive to PC are coming to consoles. Black Desert, PUBG, Blade & Soul, and Tera have already been announced.

This will continue: In the future, NCSoft plans to aim all its games at consoles, as they say from Korea.
There’s a small drop of bitterness: Indie titles will remain on PC unless they explode and become surprise hits.
Meanwhile, console-exclusive titles in online gaming have always been relatively rare, and what console players still had, like Destiny 2, became available for PC in 2017, and the world didn’t end, even though console players had predicted that.

It will become normal for games to be released on all platforms – that’s what the “mega-titles” also want: maximum reach, maximum profit. This is a trend we will observe in 2018. Online gaming has arrived on consoles in recent years and will stay there.
