In Fortnite there are countless skins that you can buy. MyMMO author Eilyn Rapp has 5 skins that she regrets buying to this day. These are her bad purchases and why she regrets them.
What are Fortnite skins? In Fortnite: Battle Royale, your character is usually determined randomly before each match. However, if you prefer to have a distinctive look, you can purchase skins from the shop or unlock them.
The so-called skins can be bought in the item shop for V-Bucks. V-Bucks are the real-money currency of Fortnite.
I regret buying these skins
I, Eilyn, love to buy skins from the shop. Now I make sure that the skins I choose really appeal to me or fit my style before I spend money on them.
This wasn’t always the case, and it quickly happened that I made rash purchases of outfits. However, there are 5 purchases I particularly regret.
Fortnite Skin – Ace
Let’s start with a skin whose purchase turned out to be worthwhile in some way. It was a starter pack.
Ace was a skin that could be bought in the 3rd starter pack of Fortnite. The pack was available for 4.99 euros. Along with the pack, you also received 600 V-Bucks, which was a real bargain.
The V-Bucks were actually the only reason I bought the skin at all. I have never used the outfit, and to this day I would not wear it because I simply do not like it at all.
Fortnite Skin – Shade
I bought this skin for one reason only: the back accessory. There was a small backpack adorned with golden assault rifle ammunition.
I simply had to have this back piece to use it with other skins. However, I had to purchase the entire skin, which cost me a hefty 1,500 V-Bucks (about 15 euros), even though I cannot warm up to the outfit itself.

Fortnite Skin – Fate
To this day, I do not understand what possessed me when I bought this skin. It appeared in the shop, and I thought: WOW! She looks really cool with her leg cape and hood.
Without thinking long, I bought the skin and felt totally happy. After a short time, I took a closer look at her face and realized that it looked somehow odd. She seemed so grumpy, and that did not suit me at all.
However, since she was so expensive, specifically 2,000 V-Bucks (about 20 euros), I used her a few times in the game and then never took her out of the locker again.
Fortnite Skin – Highland Warrior
I still vividly remember buying this skin. It was one of the first female outfits that could be purchased in Fortnite. I was so excited to finally have a different female skin.
However, over time other female characters appeared in the shop, and to be honest, I never really liked the skin model. She has such big eyes that it’s almost creepy.
This skin also cost me about 15 euros, and now it sits in my locker unused.

Fortnite Skin – Dino Commando
Now let’s move on to the number 1 spot of most regrettable skins: Dino Commando. I bought the outfit solely for the back accessory. It was a baby dino hatching from an egg. Totally cute!
What is not so cute is the price I paid for it. A whopping 2,000 V-Bucks (about 20 euros) I spent on it. For a back piece that I also do not use anymore.
I call that a real bad purchase that I still regret and don’t even want to see in my locker because I am simply ashamed of it.

As you can see, I have spent around 75 euros for these skins, which just sit and gather dust in my locker. Fortunately, I managed to leave this habit behind and now only buy skins that are really worth it. It doesn’t matter if they belong to the rarest skins in Fortnite. How about you, do you also have skins that you regret buying?
