Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Genres: Action, Sci-Fi
Episodes: 10 (Completed)
In the dystopian future of Cyberpunk, teenager David Martinez lives in the slums of “Night City” and faces a seemingly dreamy future: a good job at the mega corporation Arasaka. However, a conflict with a street gang causes David’s life to spiral out of control and he enhances his body with a modern implant that was supposed to be a company secret.
Impressed by his new potential, he later joins a gang of criminals known as the “Edgerunners,” who will do anything for their clients for enough money. David tries to find a new place in life here – while also trying to keep his sanity. Because the more technology one allows into the body, the greater the chance they will fall into madness and completely lose their humanity.
What to expect from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners? Most probably already know what they’re getting into with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. It offers a dark, dystopian world where humans increasingly become machines to cope with everyday life. The animation style known for Studio Trigger, combined with plenty of action and a story where it becomes clear early on that it cannot end well for everyone, creates an allure that excites not just fans of the associated video game “Cyberpunk 2077.” Not surprisingly, the series is considered the best anime adaptation of a video game so far.
Little Witch Academia

Genres: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Episodes: 25 (Loose End)
Since she was young, Akko has been fascinated by witches and magic – so much so that she wants to become a witch who inspires those around her and brings smiles to their faces. She is not deterred by the fact that she is actually not suited for it and enrolls in the Luna Nova Magic School anyway.
Together with the shy Lotte and the sarcastic Sucy, Akko tries to follow in the footsteps of her great idol and experiences countless dangerous and absurd adventures – always on the quest to answer the question: What does it really mean to be a good witch?
What to expect from Little Witch Academia? Little Witch Academia is a colorful anime and probably the most “family-friendly” on this list. The story is entertaining, the humor lands well, and the characters are diverse and interesting. This anime, more than almost any other on Netflix, manages to appeal to both adult and younger viewers – a bit like “Harry Potter on crack,” to put it cautiously.
While the story is not one you will remember forever, you will feel consistently entertained.
Devilman Crybaby
Alternative names: /
Genres: Action, Horror, Splatter
Episodes: 10 (Completed)
In order for demons to take a body, they need a host. After Akira is taken to an orgiastic party by his childhood friend Ryou, he witnesses many of the people there being possessed by demons and causing a bloodbath. Akira is also possessed by the demon “Amon,” but he can somewhat suppress its powers.
As a hybrid between devil and human, known as a “Devilman,” he now tries to protect his loved ones from the consequences of the demons – while the demon within him constantly rebels, igniting his desires and drives and repeatedly trying to lure him to regain control.
What to expect from Devilman Crybaby? An anime experience unlike any other. An unusual animation style, rapid scene transitions, and a series that dares to be visually audacious. Nudity, drugs, extremely grotesque demons, and a lot of blood are simply a part of this story.
If you get past the somewhat clumsy start and embrace this style of representation, you will experience an anime journey with “Devilman Crybaby” that you will think about for a long time afterward and will definitely consider “What a wild ride”.
