In Destiny 2, after the introduction of Stasis aspects and fragments, the first Light subclass is also being revamped in the new expansion Witch Queen. YouTuber Ehroar has already presented his top 5 Exotics for Void 3.0, which Void Warlocks should definitely secure.
When Witch Queen launches on February 22, 2022, Void 3.0 will also introduce the first revamped Light subclass, which comes with some really exciting ability updates.
These Void 3.0 aspects will soon be utilized by Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks in Witch Queen:
- Void Hunters will devilishly disappear into the Void, and the aspect “Stylish Execution” doubles the options of “Silent Assassin”.
- Sentinel Titans will remain the front line protectors and keep their team safe. Their empowered barricade with the aspect “Overview” will slowly generate a Void overshield that also protects nearby allies.
- Void Warlocks will become more threatening through the aspects, becoming Void 3.0 vampires that “drain” energy from their opponents in a vampiric manner, weakening them.
Void will soon be a powerful element: With Void 3.0, Warlocks will receive an aspect for their new Void ability that grants them the melee “Pocket Singularity”.
A seeking, unstable Void energy ball that explodes when near an enemy. Perfect for long-range combat. Properly placed, you can use it to launch enemies into the air and exploit their instability to take them out with a well-placed headshot before they land.
Equally exciting is that Warlocks can soon create a Black Hole from the Void with the aspect “Child of the Old Gods”.
With this ability, the Warlock gets a powerful debuff tool, allowing Voidwalkers to control an area and empower themselves. Use your Rift to summon a black hole that hovers next to you and waits for a target.
It attacks enemies on its own, draining their energy and weakening them. The energy you get back comes in the form of grenade or melee energy (if you use a Healing Rift) or health (if you use a Empowering Rift). When you defeat enemies from whom the aspect drains energy, you get Rift energy back.

Melee Exotics might get really strong: Although nothing can be said about the gameplay yet, it seems that especially the two aspects for the melee and grenade ability of Warlocks have the potential to become really strong in Season 16.

The Exotic marks priority targets for you, making them easier to identify. Above all, it improves the regeneration rate of grenade, melee, and Rift abilities. It has already been a popular choice for Warlocks in Stasis as it is not bound to any kind of Supers (Solar, Arc, or Void).
The benefit for Void 3.0: As the new aspects are heavily geared towards melee and Rift, it could indeed be useful for Void 3.0. It’s also practical that its abilities are purely passive. You equip it and basically don’t have to pay attention to anything else to make full use of the exotic benefit.
Rank 4: Controversial Hold – Arm Protection
The exotic Warlock arm protection grants the wearer resistance to incoming damage while charging their Void grenade with “Chaos Accelerant”, “Feeding the Void”, or “Hand Supernova”. Upon hitting, charged Void grenades also grant grenade energy back. This exotic is indispensable for many Warlocks as a solid Grenade Void build.
The benefit for Void 3.0: The ability of this exotic is also strongly passive and requires no triggers. It’s enough to deal damage with your grenade. So if Void 3.0 can be used for any of the three grenades, you can also look forward to regular grenade ability pushes.
Rank 3: Cloak of Combat Harmony – Chest Protection
With “Cloak of Combat Harmony”, you load your most powerful ability, the Super, significantly faster. Every kill you get with a weapon matching your elemental focus gives you some Super energy automatically.
The benefit for Void 3.0: For the exotic to boost your better “Void 3.0” abilities, you need a Void weapon and the elemental mod “Source of Power”. Together with the new aspects and fragments, this could create strong synergies that grant you plenty of Super energy.
Rank 2: Skull of Dire Ahamkara – Headgear
The exotic offers additional damage resistance during the Super, and Nova Bomb kills additionally grant extra Super energy. The Void exotic has long been the best thing you could equip as a Warlock in Destiny 2. Thanks to it, you could almost get your Super back to 100%.
After a nerf in Season 15, however, its glory days seemed to be over for now. Bungie changed the energy recovery cap to a maximum of 50%. Too little to continue to entice Warlocks.
The benefit for Void 3.0: However, with Void 3.0, this exotic could regain traction. The benefit for Void 3.0: Here, it wouldn’t really matter which aspects and fragments you opt for. This exotic would improve the energy recharge rate of all abilities, including the Super.
What else to consider: For grenade abilities, there is also another exotic that could be helpful for Void 3.0 Warlocks: The “Brow of Truth”.
The exotic ensures that weapon kills with a damage type matching the equipped focus grant a damage bonus for grenades as well as grenade energy. Allies nearby also receive significantly increased grenade regeneration for a short time. Depending on what the new aspects and fragments bring, this is another good option for Warlocks.
Lost sectors are the best source for targeted farming: If you still don’t have one of these Exotics in good condition, then we recommend playing the daily rotating Lost Sectors.
The big advantage here is that you can farm for specific Exotics in a more targeted way. The sectors offer a daily rotation between arm, leg, chest, and head gear. You can see which sectors are active either on the overview map or through the bray.tech website.
Alternatively, you can rely on your luck and play a Nightfall on Grandmaster or Heroic. There, the reward is also an Exotic, only you have no control over what type it will be. However, the armor stats here are often better, even if the run costs you more time.
When can the new Void 3.0 aspects and fragments be obtained? With the release of “The Witch Queen”, on February 22, 2022, players will be able to earn the new aspects and fragments and utilize Void 3.0 in the fight against Savathun and her “Radiant Spawn”. Arc and Solar will then follow throughout the year 2022, over the individual seasons, and receive expansions.
Of course, it’s always a personal decision which Exotic players ultimately choose for their playstyle. However, the Void Exotics shown by Ehroar and the combination possibilities expected with Void 3.0 are truly diverse.
