What kind of game was it? The space online game transports you to the year 2575 AD. You could create a character from the Progen, Jenquai, and Terran races and explore 12 star systems with your spaceship. There it was possible to take on missions, engage in space battles, and trade.
With the money earned, you could upgrade your ship. Additionally, it was possible to improve the hero.
When was it shut down? Earth & Beyond didn’t last long. It was shut down just two years after its release. The game simply couldn’t attract enough players, even though it received the award for the best Massively Multiplayer Game from PC Gamer in 2002.
The end came in September 2004.
How can you continue to play? Through the Earth & Beyond Emulator, it is possible to play in a persistent online world. Many other players roam there, breathing life into space.
The operators sometimes even hold exciting events and add new content like additional skills.
