Bugs and glitches have already caused quite a bit of chaos in GTA Online. MeinMMO shows you 5 of them and what exactly happened.
What is it about? GTA Online has a long history of bugs and glitches. Various errors repeatedly lead to curious situations.
From the buggy casino to flying trucks, there have been crazy methods to exploit game mechanics, “earn” a lot of money, or just bizarre things have happened. We present a selection of incidents that have accumulated over the past few years.

1. The buggy casino of GTA Online
Problems with the lucky wheel: With the casino update, GTA Online received a lucky wheel in 2019. Through this lucky wheel, players could then grab a particularly rare car. A glitch occurred at the start, which players still use to get this car.
One just has to disconnect at the right moment to get another spin. This way, players can increase their chances of the podium car.
Later, there was a bug that mixed up the winnings. Instead of the displayed rewards, players received something completely different due to a bug.
Instead of a rare, free car, they only received 10,000 chips, which was pretty disappointing.
Numerous players complained on reddit about the bug and false winnings. Meanwhile, the error has been fixed.
Glitches at horse racing: Even the horse races of the casino were initially buggy and provided players with significantly higher winnings. Many players exploited this and grabbed millions.
In the reddit forums of glitchers, AFK scripts were even shared that allowed players on PC to automatically participate in the races and collect millions while they were not even at the computer.
Only after multiple attempts did Rockstar manage to fix this error with a patch. Those who had “earned” chips were harshly punished with an account reset.
2. Glitch caused chaos in hangars
What happened? In spring 2019, a glitch appeared that suddenly made Lester the most important NPC for many in GTA Online. Because players could earn millions of dollars thanks to him.
Through Lester, players could order planes for a fee. If it could not spawn, they got their money back. By a trick, players could pay only once but get the money back repeatedly. Players ordered a plane to a specific hangar, parked near the spawn point, and simply pressed the gas.
This way, the plane could not spawn, and there was constantly money back that was never paid. This led to chaotic sessions where all players in a session were sitting near a hangar, mostly not even present at all.
It even escalated to the point where nearby players experienced lag issues.
How the problem was solved: Developer Rockstar needed two attempts to remove the glitch from the game. The first attempt was circumvented by players simply parking mobile command centers in hangars.
The second attempt found a simple solution: It currently costs nothing to order a plane from Lester.
3. Money glitch led to chaotic scenes with stunt tracks
What happened? In some cases, money glitches were taken so far that they even affected other players. For example, on PS4, a glitch was used that simply spawned stunt tracks for other players.
It was one of the few money glitches that also worked on consoles. Players were able to acquire a ton of sports cars with this trick and then sell them.
The glitchers used the director mode, which is actually for videos. In this mode, one can spawn all kinds of vehicles, stunt tracks, and other things. Due to a bug, it could happen that these tracks then made it from director mode into the free roam mode of GTA Online. Then came such scenes:
4. Players “wake up” in the wrong body
What happened? A rather funny bug made the rounds in April 2020. Players logged into GTA Online and noticed that their character suddenly looked different.
New glitches continue to emerge. The latest discovery is being used by players on PC to pretend to be admins.
For example, male characters suddenly had long hair, a beard, and breasts, as shown in this screenshot:

It was one of the bugs that the community took with humor.
5. Glitch makes giant trucks fly
What happened? The glitch was also discovered in April 2020. With this trick, massive vehicles could fly through the air as if they were airplanes.
The trick only works with certain arena vehicles and requires two specific modifications that can be made in the arena workshop.
However, it took a certain level of skill to make the truck fly. In the video by YouTuber GTA_Pure, you can see how it worked.
What encounters have you had with bugs and glitches? Do they bother you, or do you have more fun with them? Do you have your own interesting stories to share?
