Place 3: Genma Saotome
- First appearance: Episode 1 of the anime
- Transformation: Panda
Genma Saotome is Ranma’s father. The two fell into different springs during their training. While Ranma became a girl, Genma transformed into a panda. The family man seems to be quite comfortable in his panda skin and remains unfazed when he transforms in public.
To communicate with others, he uses signs on which he writes what he wants to say. Despite his panda form, he remains one of the strongest fighters and can deliver strong blows even with his bulky form.
Place 2: Ryoga Hibiki
- First appearance: Episode 7 of the anime (Episode 4 in the remake)
- Transformation: Piglet
One of the sweetest transformations is that of Ryoga. He can transform into a small piglet that uses his headband as a scarf. In this form, Ryoga can gather important information unnoticed. In battle, he offers a small target for opponents.
The best advantage of being a pig: Ryoga gets closer to his great love Akane. She adopts the piglet and names it P-Chan. The piglet is even allowed to sleep in Akane’s bed, which makes Ryoga even happier.
Place 1: Shampoo
- First appearance: Episode 15 of the anime
- Transformation: Cat
Shampoo is an Amazon who is forced by the rules of her tribe to marry Ranma’s male side but kill the female one. She fell into a spring that now turns her into a pink, extremely cute cat.
In this form, she is not only cute but can also defend herself with her claws and teeth. As a cat, she is also very agile and can spy on other people. Since Shampoo is my favorite character and she also turns into a pink cat, she ends up in 1st place in the ranking.
Which character would you have placed in 1st place? Let us know in the comments which transformations you find cool and would like to experience yourself.
If you want to see some of the transformations in action, you can watch the remake of the anime. The new episodes will be released on Netflix.
