Many characters from Ranma 1/2 suffer from a transformation curse because they fell into a cursed hot spring. MeinMMO reveals to you which are the coolest transformations from the anime and manga.
What are these curses? In Ranma 1/2, there is the Jusenkyo. This is a legendary training ground where poles protrude from a field full of hot springs. However, the springs are cursed.
Whoever falls into such a spring transforms into the being that drowned in that spring upon contact with cold water. This can be an animal or another person. Only upon contact with hot water do they regain their original form.

Place 5: Pantyhose Taro

- Transformation: Yeti-bull-crane-eel-octopus
The probably most curious transformation must be endured by Pantyhose Taro. He is one of the villains in Ranma 1/2. He has had his curse since birth, as his mother gave birth to him right next to the Jusenkyo springs. Happosai, the master of Ranma’s father, accidentally bathed the newborn in a spring where several beings had already drowned.
Since then, Pantyhose Taro transforms into a hybrid creature of several beings. He has the head and legs of a bull, but his upper body is that of a yeti. He has the wings of a crane growing on his back, and his tail is an eel. Thus, he combines many useful traits from several animals that he can use to his advantage.
Place 4: Rouge
- First appearance: Chapter 334 of the manga
- Transformation: Asura
Rouge appears when she is searching for the character in our 4th place. She is a girl who fell into the source of Asura. In Buddhism, these are powerful demigods, and Rouge becomes one of them. In this form, she gains a total of 6 arms and 3 heads.
However, simultaneously with her form, she gains incredible powers. She can fly, summon lightning, spit fireballs, and create a protective shield. Thus, she becomes the ultimate weapon and would probably have landed in 1st place in the ranking if it were only based on strength.
