Here you will find a mix of games that are suitable for both multiplayer and solo players.
Cuphead

This is Cuphead: If you see Cuphead for the first time, you might think: Oh, this looks like a nice game. Great, nostalgic cartoon visuals, driving jazz music in the background, and friendly-looking main characters – this is definitely something nice for a break.
All these descriptions are true – except for the last one. Because if you lose yourself too much in the famous Cuphead atmosphere while playing, you’re dead. The levels, which split into larger boss fights and platformer missions, can be played at different difficulty levels. And even the easiest is already brutal.
In Cuphead, you jump and shoot either alone or together in couch co-op through beautifully designed levels, where behind every – really every – corner the “Game Over” could be waiting. Whether it’s a nicely looking flower, suddenly sinking platforms, or suspiciously looking giant turnips – everything in this game is designed to put an abrupt end to your cup existence.
Cuphead is extremely difficult, but not unfair – and that’s what makes it incredibly exciting. When you die, you know every time why. The sense of achievement when you beat a boss or a level after what feels like a hundred failed attempts is all the greater.

Overcooked 2

This is Overcooked 2: Overcooked 2 clearly falls into the category of games that are fun with multiple people. The controls are quick to learn and the easily accessible principle seems simple at first glance:
- You are in a kitchen
- You have to create dishes from various ingredients
- Then serve them and wash the dishes afterward.
Sounds easy? Wrong! Your kitchen quickly transitions from simple restaurants to environments like a magic school, a mine, or outer space. The dishes become more complicated, elements like teleporters and floating platforms make your path more difficult. It becomes increasingly challenging not to bump into each other and prepare the dishes against the merciless ticking clock.
If you play together, it is essential to keep a cool head and work as a team. If you succeed, Overcooked offers lots of fun that is also suitable for kids. If not, Overcooked 2 will quickly push you to your limits with the proven formula from Overcooked 1.

Trüberbrook

This is Trüberbrook: Trüberbrook was created in collaboration with the German publisher Headup Games and the bildundtonfabrik. It comes with its own charm: You travel as the young American physicist Tannhauser to the remote Trüberbrook – a sleepy little place in the German province.
But the seemingly harmless place harbors dark secrets that unfold throughout the story. In classic adventure style, you work your way through puzzles and mysteries to advance in the story driven by strong twists.
All of this happens in an unusual look: All landscapes were crafted as miniature sets by hand in the workshop and then transferred into the game. This creates a unique look for Trüberbrook.

ATV Drift & Tricks

This is ATV Drift & Tricks: If you are looking for racing games on the Switch, you quickly end up with Mario Kart. But if you want a more realistic racing game, you should definitely check out ATV Drift & Tricks.
Normally, the game is quite expensive, but it is currently on offer for only €1.75. ATV Drift & Tricks lets you go off-road on quad bikes on muddy, snowy, sunny, or sandy tracks. You can drift through the desert, explore the jungle, or zip through the mountains.
You shouldn’t expect a highly polished racing game, but it is worth a look: If you just want to do a couple of laps, you can’t go wrong with this offer.

RIVE: Ultimate Edition

This is RIVE: RIVE is a classic shoot’em up: You fly from left to right across the map and shoot pretty much everything that gets in the way of your little spaceship’s cannons.
This mainly involves various types of robots that you can turn into scrap. You can then spend that scrap in the shop to acquire upgrades for your ship.
RIVE comes with varied levels – sometimes you fly through a lava world, sometimes you land underwater. There are bosses that can quickly push you to your limits – because RIVE is not easy. The difficulty level is quite challenging.

In the Ultimate Edition, however, you can rely on support by tackling the challenge in co-op. Overall, RIVE is a pretty fast-paced affair that, although it has been around for a few years (Release on Switch: 2017), is definitely worth checking out for the price.
