Bonus: Tabletop Simulator
Our last tip is strictly speaking not a game of its own, but it has the potential to replace all other activities. We are talking about the Tabletop Simulator.

What is the Tabletop Simulator about? The Tabletop Simulator is exactly what the name suggests. It’s essentially not a standalone game but a program that simulates a shared game table. Numerous board games can be played over the internet. This ranges from very simple games like “Yahtzee” or “Don’t Get Angry,” but also significantly more complex games like Monopoly or the infamous Talisman can be included.
If you bring a bit more imagination, you can also use the Tabletop Simulator to set up a virtual round of pen & paper role-playing games. You can hardly achieve more social interaction than embarking on a DSA campaign together or solving a C’thulhu puzzle.
You can also play and reconstruct large tabletop battles, such as from Warhammer, using the program.
Besides numerous free games offered in the Steam workshop and of course the freedom to create or reconstruct your own games, there are also a number of paid DLCs that expand the Tabletop Simulator.
For those bound to their homes during Corona but who don’t want to miss out on communal board games with friends and family, the Tabletop Simulator is a perfect solution.
And the best part: If you get a little annoyed during “Don’t Get Angry,” you can simply throw the entire game table in a fit of rage. That will definitely cause some laughter in the voice chat.
How much does the Tabletop Simulator cost? The Tabletop Simulator currently costs around €20 on Steam. If you buy a package for 4 players, you can get it for €55 – bringing the price down to about €14 per copy.
How many players is the Tabletop Simulator suitable for? The simulator can be played with up to 9 friends at the same time. (1-10 players)
Do you have any other games with which you maintain social contact with friends, family, and acquaintances?
