If zombies are not crazy enough for you and if the humor can’t be dark enough, you should take a look at Borderlands 3. Given a solid PC, you can have a ton of fun in co-op.
What is Borderlands 3? Borderlands 3 is the latest entry in the Borderlands series and the showcase game for loot shooters. You take on the role of a vault hunter and set out to find a legendary vault that may contain not only treasures but also sinister creatures.
Since the vaults are highly sought after, pretty much every other large organization in the galaxy is also searching for them. This includes insane psycho-bandits, whose greatest joy is a brutally violent death, to a “streamer duo” that trains their followers into a fanatical cult, reading their every wish from their lips.
But it’s not just the game world that is exceedingly “cool,” but also the gameplay. It’s basically a nonstop fireworks display of cool effects, mighty bosses, and nearly unlimited loot in the form of weapons. Even the weapons themselves are wild and often have extra effects, such as being thrown like a grenade when reloading and exploding or having legs grow to chase enemies even after the shooting is over.
With four different characters featuring skill trees and “a bazillion weapons,” there’s always something to do in Borderlands, be it looting one more chest or taking down another boss.
It’s especially cool when every player plays a different vault hunter, as it creates a very diverse team.
But watch out for the loot rules you set while playing. You can play it so that each person gets separate loot – or you can fight over every single weapon…
