What is Stardew Valley about? In Stardew Valley, players inherit an old farm that is in pretty bad shape. Gradually, you need to restore the property and plant numerous types of grains, vegetables, and fruits that you can then sell for money.
This sets off a recurring cycle where you continue to expand your farm to earn money more efficiently and extensively.
But that’s just one aspect of the game. Stardew Valley also offers a large town with numerous NPCs, all of whom have their own daily routines and provide many quests, stories, and secrets. There are numerous side activities like fishing or even a large dungeon where you can invest many hours to craft even better tools or find that one gift that makes a specific NPC happy.
Additionally, there are regular events in the village, such as a harvest festival where only the best ingredients can be brought to win a prize.
In co-op mode, by the way, you have the freedom to decide how you want to handle your income. You can set it up so that all players share a cash box or each manages their own money.
