Why was she Son Goku’s enemy? C18 was originally a normal girl. However, she was captured by Dr. Gero and turned into a cyborg. He programmed her direct goal to be the death of Son Goku, since he destroyed the Red Ribbon Army, of which Dr. Gero was a part, during his childhood.
Directly after her creation, she killed Dr. Gero together with her brother. The two saw the hunt for Son Goku more as a road trip and a way to pass the time. They wanted to have fun and were not brutal killing machines.
What kind of change did she undergo? The change began, as it did with Vegeta, with love. Krillin fell hopelessly in love with C18. Instead of harming him, she gave him a kiss and wished him good luck. After that, Krillin destroyed a remote control for a self-destruct bomb in C18’s body, which could have killed the cyborg, valuing her life over the fate of the world.
When Krillin also wished for the bomb to be removed from C18’s body, he completely won her heart. The two started a family and enjoy their daughter Marron.
