Vegeta
Why was he Son Goku’s enemy? Vegeta is the prince of the Saiyans. In his world, only strength matters; weakness is punished with death. He originally traveled to Earth to find the 7 Dragon Balls. His goal was to become immortal and strong enough to overthrow the tyrant Frieza and become the ruler of the universe himself. He also wanted to take revenge for the extermination of his people.
Since the Saiyan has always been competitive, he declared Goku his archenemy. The hero of Dragon Ball was stronger and better than Vegeta, despite being considered an inferior warrior, and surpassed him in battle. The fact that Goku also spared his life was the ultimate humiliation for Vegeta.
What kind of change did he undergo? After the events, Vegeta found himself homeless. He temporarily stayed with scientist Bulma and lived in a convenience relationship. However, over time, the two founded a family and became a couple. It is noticeable in several places that Vegeta truly loves Bulma.
In the fight against Majin Boo, Vegeta also realized that being evil no longer fulfilled him. He sacrificed his life for Goku and his own family.
