Mobile MMORPGs are becoming increasingly popular, especially in Asia, and even here, there are more complex games that run on smartphones or tablets. We present to you 6 titles to keep an eye on for the future in 2018.
Mobile games have essentially existed since the first mobile phones. Back then, you played simple skill games like Snake while waiting for the bus at the stop.
Today, however, things are different. Where pixelated snakes used to wriggle across monochrome screens, fully-fledged MMORPGs shine on the displays of modern smartphones and tablets.
Here you will find 6 mobile MMORPGs that should make waves in the near future.
Royal Blood
A promising mobile MMORPG title is Royal Blood from Gamevil. The game will be a full-fledged AAA MMORPG that is specifically designed for mobile platforms from the start. However, it is not meant to be a simple grind game with pixelated graphics.
Royal Blood – Unity Engine and modest hardware requirements
Thanks to the modern Unity engine, Royal Blood is expected to be prettier than previous mobile MMORPGs like Order and Chaos. Therefore, Royal Blood looks impressively good and offers smooth animations and cool effects.
Anyone seeing Royal Blood for the first time is unlikely to believe that it is “just” a mobile MMORPG. The best part: You don’t even need an epic next-gen phone. A cozy and cost-effective Galaxy S4 should suffice to play Royal Blood according to the manufacturer.
Royal Blood – Massive PvP and dynamic events
Royal Blood offers everything that you would expect from online RPGs on PC or consoles:
- Massive online gaming in instances with hundreds of players
- Raids with large groups
- Character classes with depth
- Realm vs Realm PvP, where up to 200 players compete against each other, as well as classic 3 vs 3 PvP in the arena
- Dynamic events in the open world
- Life skills like crafting and fishing
