What is it about? Tatsuhiro Satou is a college dropout and has been a hikikomori for 4 years. Hikikomori refers to people who completely isolate themselves from the outside world, live only in their apartments, and reduce contact with society to a minimum.
The isolation is not good for him, and he gets involved in a conspiracy theory. He feels lonely and becomes depressed. However, one day he meets Misaki Nakahara, through whom he learns to reintegrate into society. He must confront his greatest fears and fights to leave his apartment and obtain a job again.
Why are you spared from happy couples? The show focuses most of the time on the hikikomori lifestyle. Romantic feelings play a rather subordinate role in this anime. So, if you enjoy romances, you will be disappointed here – perfect for everyone who is not into cheesy love couples.
