The release of GTA 6 is highly anticipated by players. We show you what activities or ideas GTA 6 should take from its predecessor GTA 5 / GTA Online. They are well received by our editor Patrick Freese and by players.
What is it about? Before the release of GTA 6, I am already thinking about how the game should look. Especially with game design, there are some decisions to be made that will make the game “good” for me and other players.
For this summary, I have thought about it myself and also considered the opinions of players on social networks.
This is about “side activities.” So nothing fundamental like tuning cars, but things you do alongside all the missions, game modes, and races. I assume that missions, heists, exciting ways to earn money, roleplay opportunities, and more are desired in the game. Here, it is about what happens in the background.
Please, GTA 6, bring us these activities
Keep in mind that this order of activities was chosen arbitrarily and does not represent a ranking by priority.
Darts, Tennis, Golf
Why is this good? These activities all fall into a category, which is why I combine them here. I have a lot of fun with these sports challenges, and at the same time they are competitive. Whether you are on the tennis court with friends or throwing darts at the board with random players in the bar. Even on the golf course, you really have to put in some effort.
These activities really divert from the “everyday life” in GTA Online and clear your head after you have fought your way through heists with randoms or friends.
I would be looking forward to these and other sports activities in GTA 6 that serve as a “fun distraction.” Maybe cousin Roman will even stop by for a round of bowling, or you could set up some foosball tables.
Session Competitions
Why is this good? Activities often pop up in the sessions of GTA Online. These are challenges such as:
- Do the longest wheelie
- Open your parachute as close to the ground as possible
- Cause the most damage
- Steal the most cars
- Achieve the highest top speed
Such spontaneous actions easily bring money into your account. Additionally, players with little preparation time need to be quick to compete with other players in this session.
I would like such challenges for GTA 6, because they involve various areas of GTA (driving cars quickly, flying through checkpoints with planes, wreaking havoc in parking lots) and they nicely bridge the waiting time for friends or other activities.
They also ensure that sessions do not become boring and the competitive spirit remains in online mode. Another advantage is that you don’t have to join these freemode events through player search, but every player in a session can automatically participate. This eliminates annoying waiting times.
Lucky Wheel
Why is this good? Currently, the Lucky Wheel in GTA Online allows players to win the fastest and rarest cars in the game easily. This is especially great for casual players, as they can acquire the expensive cars without having to grind for hours first.
In short, players have the chance to obtain endgame content for free. This makes them feel less like they are missing out.
I would like something like this for GTA 6 as well. This way, casual players can also obtain cool cars or perhaps unlock other exciting things like weapons, armor, or exclusive missions without having to grind for hours.
Casino with additional Gambling Games
Why is this good? Gambling in Rockstar titles is a feature that is often requested. In Red Dead Redemption 2, this was a major community wish. In GTA Online, gambling was introduced with the opening of the casino.
Especially poker is well received. Many players likely play that in their leisure time outside of video games and enjoy being able to play it digitally in their favorite game.
In GTA Online, there are now poker, horse racing, blackjack, and even one-armed bandits. I have already spent countless hours in GTA because of this. I would be pleased if this popular pastime played a role again in GTA 6.
In the GTA community, he also found exciting wishes for activities that players want for the new installment.
BMX Parks
Why is this good? When I have had enough of driving in GTA Online, I grab a BMX bike and head to a park with ramps or just ride around.
Rockstar Games has put effort into the bike riding design and makes you crave more. You can race with road bikes, perform stunts with BMX bikes, or zoom up and down mountains with mountain bikes.
For GTA 6, I would wish for mini-games like in the “Tony Hawk’s” games. Something like “Complete X monster stunts in 5 minutes” or “reach 600 stunt points on the rail” or similar.
This would bring a lot of variety and another opportunity to compete with friends without having to shoot each other.
