Farang is the newest film on this list and was only released in theaters this year. The film was made in an unusual collaboration between France and Thailand. It tells the story of Sam, who is actually preparing for his release from prison. But due to an accident, he has to flee and start a new life in Thailand. But even there, he is pushed into the criminal underworld.
You can notice the influence of the director of Gangs of London. The film mixes classic Asian fight scenes with European revenge and gangster cinema. A refreshing mix that is a true highlight for fans of John Wick and explicit action cinema.
