FIFA 21 is revealing more and more player ratings. We now also know which professionals from the Bundesliga have received a nice upgrade in the latest edition. They have grown by at least 9 points.
What is shown here? The values that a player ultimately gets in FIFA 21 are based on the real performances of the professionals. There are some players who have improved significantly in the past season and therefore no longer fit the player ratings from FIFA 20.
Some players have now been improved by up to 15 overall points. There are 4 standout players from the Bundesliga. They have recorded a growth of at least 9 points.
Rank 1: Edmond Tapsoba (+12 increase)
This is Tapsoba: The professional from Bayer 04 Leverkusen grew by a remarkable 12 overall points. He transferred from Portugal to Germany in the winter of 2019/2020 and impressed at Leverkusen with 22 appearances in the second half of the season. Not only is his rating in FIFA 21 increasing – his market value is currently at 22 million euros (via Transfermarkt.de). When he transferred last winter, it was only 4.5 million euros.
Rank 2: Christoph Baumgartner (+12 increase)
This is Baumgartner: The homegrown talent from TSG Hoffenheim had a remarkable development last season, which FIFA 21 rewards with a hefty increase of 12 rating points. While the Austrian barely made it past the bench at the beginning of last season, he often played from the start after the 17th matchday and even over 90 minutes. He scored 8 goals and is now among the top players in Hoffenheim’s offense.
Rank 3: Erling Haaland (+11 increase)
This is Haaland: Admittedly, Haaland was not a total failure in FIFA 20 either. He had a silver card with a rating of 73 and received various special cards due to his performances. Haaland was probably the shooting star of the past second half of the season. He transferred to Borussia Dortmund in winter and made an immediate impact. 7 goals in the first 3 games and in the end, another 6 goals were added. He is now a key player for BVB and everyone can understand his remarkable increase in FIFA 21.
Rank 4: Alphonso Davies (+9 increase)
This is Davies: The professional transferred to the record champions from Munich in the winter of 2018/2019. At that time, he hardly played a role and initially played for the second team. Only last season did he really come into play. Since the 9th matchday, he has been a key player and significantly contributed to the championship, the cup victory, and the Champions League victory of the Munich team. For some FIFA fans, Davies’ rating is even still too low. After all, with all the trophies, he is the most successful among the 4 professionals on our list – nevertheless, he is among the best talents in FIFA 21.
