Astral Elves

- Special Abilities: Astral Fire, Starry Step, Astral Trance
Astral Elves left the Feywild thousands of years ago to settle in the Astral Plane. Compared to most other elves, they become unfathomably old as long as they remain there, but even outside their plane they are blessed with a significantly longer life.
For them, the concerns of the “mortal races” are often unimportant, and they see the planes from a rather detached and timeless perspective, which makes them appear somewhat alien and superior. They are closer to their gods than other races, making them excellent clerics or paladins.
They are curious and have an insatiable thirst for knowledge, for which no journey is too far. This also makes them particularly suitable for players who want to play scholarly mages. Many of them also possess magical ships that allow them to traverse the Astral Plane.
They bring along 3 special and unique abilities that distinguish them from their counterparts on the Material Plane. Through their Astral Fire, they can learn one of 3 cantrips with which they can create light or attack with a sacred flame.
With their Starry Step, they can teleport 30 feet (9 meters) to a visible, unoccupied space using their bonus action. Like other elves, they only need to meditate and enter a trance to rest. However, their Astral Trance differs from those of other elves, as after each 4-hour trance, they gain a temporary proficiency bonus for a chosen skill, weapon, or tool until their next long rest.
In addition to various elven races, there are also more than 100 other races from which you can choose for your character. This often makes the choice difficult, and many exciting species fall victim to the habit of reverting to humans, elves, or dwarves. Therefore, we have selected some special representatives for you that you can choose from if you want something more exotic: Here are 7 underestimated races from Dungeons & Dragons if you don’t want to play boring humans or elves
