In Fortnite, you still have a lot to do before you can face the Cube Queen. We at MeinMMO have taken the time to create a checklist that shows you what else you should complete before the end.
What is happening soon? In Fortnite, the 2nd Chapter is set to farewell, to be replaced by Chapter 3. Since Season 8 offered a lot of content, we will show you four things that you should complete before the “end”.
4 Things You Should Complete Before Chapter 3
1. Collect all Color Bottles and Unlock Cartoon Fish Styles
What are Color Bottles? Color Bottles are similar to the Alien Artifacts from Season 7. These are needed to create your new custom Cartoon Fish Skin. With them, you can unlock new colors for the skin, its guitar pick, the glider, and also for its back bling.
This allows for the wildest color combinations. For example, headgear, neckerchief, arms, legs, and many other areas of your skin can be colored.

How can I buy the styles? You will need rainbow ink for this. You can find it in every conceivable chest on the map in Fortnite. You just need to open them, and you will automatically collect them. The amount of ink obtained varies and is not present in every chest. This requires patience and time.
Is there more? Yes, new styles have been added that can be unlocked by completing tasks. These tasks can be found on the icons of the respective skin styles. Click on the skin icon you want to unlock, complete the required task, and then unlock this style for purchase.
2. Unlock Secret Skin and Cosmetics
Who is the skin? This skin is the secret skin from Season 8. Each season features a secret skin, which is revealed later. These skins come with a wide range of cosmetic items such as gliders, pickaxes, or weapon paint jobs.
How do I unlock it? To do this, you must access your quest tab and complete the tasks there. They are as follows:
- Survive five storm phases while carrying a Tilted weapon – Unlocks the “Cube Queen” outfit.
- Eliminate a player with the Tilted minigun – Unlocks the emote “Victorious Cube”.
- Interrogate two opponents – Unlocks the loading screen “At the Queen’s Court”.
- Use a Shadow Stone or Jumper and spend three seconds as a Shadow near a player – Unlocks the back accessory “Cube Vortex”.
Once you have completed that, you will automatically receive a style for the skin. After that, you have access to the second page of rewards. You can unlock them as follows:
- Deal 150 damage to players with the Tilted Scythe – Unlocks the pickaxe “Reality Destroyer”.
- Complete a bounty from a bounty board – Unlocks the spray pattern “Royal Visage”.
- Score two headshots with the Tilted rifle – Unlocks the lobby music “Queen’s Anthem”.
- Use the glider in the cooling towers of Steamy Stacks – Unlocks the glider “Royal Glider”.
After you have completed all the tasks, you will receive the last style of your skin as a gift.
3. Unlock Everything in the Battle Pass
How can I do this quickly? You need to complete the stamp cards in the quest tab. You select a card and the corresponding NPCs on the map will be marked automatically. Now head into a match and visit the NPC. They will then assign you a task that consists of five parts.
For each completed task, you will receive 30,000 XP. You can also play on the weekend of December 27 – 29, as the last XP weekend is supposed to take place.
4. Collect Memories Before the End
The end is near, and soon there will be no Chapter 2 Map as it is. The Cube Queen will do everything she can to destroy it to seal the fate of the island.
Therefore, use the time you have left to capture some cool moments, take photos, or even visit your favorite POIs.
Also, try to enjoy the current vehicles, as they may not be on the new map.
New weapons could replace the current guns. So take the opportunity and make some cool kills on players or even raptors. These beasts are annoying and nobody likes them.
