Season 10 in Fortnite is coming to an end soon. After playing 9 seasons, our author Eilyn can say it has been the most exciting for her so far. 4 reasons why Season 10 is exciting and nostalgic for her.
Season X was a mix of new features and memories from past seasons. With the introduction of Rift Zones, players could revisit old locations or discover new ones. The story of the Visitor from Season 4 was picked up and continued.
In general, Season X brought many puzzles and clues that sparked intense speculation. There are many theories, and even about a new map for Season 11, rumors are circulating.
How Season 10 Ignited My Curiosity and Nostalgia
I have been playing Fortnite since the end of the first season. Even though I may not always agree with Epic Games’ decisions, I still enjoy playing after 9 seasons. That’s why Season 10 stirred nostalgia in me, and following the story was extremely exciting for me. Here are my 4 reasons why:
1. The Battle Pass
What made the pass special this time? The Battle Pass was pure nostalgia for me. Seeing the skins from past seasons again, and even in an extended version, brought me great joy. But I wondered why Epic had decided to “bring back” these skins. Was this a hint about closing the past?
2. The Rift Zones
What made the Rift Zones special? I found it so exciting to observe the progression of the Rift Zones. Every time a Rift Beacon appeared, I immediately thought about what used to be in that location. Would a place from the past return, or would we see a completely new location? I loved revisiting the old locations, especially because Greasy Grove, one of my favorite landing spots, was back.
3. The Continuation of the Story
What unique events happened in the story? I love stories and have been following the Fortnite story since the end of Season 3. I saw the meteor hit and the Visitor emerge from the capsule. In short, I have experienced all the live events.
When the first clues appeared in the game, I was eager to find out what the connection between the events was. In Season X, everything pointed to a connection to the story of the meteor, the visitor, and the rocket launch from Season 4. I closely observed what changed in the game and how I could fit that into the story. I am curious about what a possible end live event will bring and how things will continue in Season 11.
My Personal Highlight of Season X
The Batman Crossover: The crossover between Fortnite and Batman was my personal highlight from this season. I had never seen a larger crossover in Fortnite before. I was impressed by how much effort they put into this event.
Of course, I had to buy the Cat Woman skin (it’s a collector’s item) and I diligently completed all the challenges. I loved Gotham City; finally, Tilted Town was gone, and I could dive into the superhero’s city. The atmosphere in the city gave me excitement and motivation to go hunting.
What Made Season 10 More Exciting Than Previous Seasons
Season X had many puzzles that were not present in the previous seasons. The excitement of following the story had a greater incentive because you needed to be familiar with previous seasons to understand the clues.
Anyone who has been playing since the early days of Fortnite must have felt the excitement and nostalgia too. It’s almost like a farewell to the past seasons and a restart for Season 11. Now I can soon conclude Season X in peace and I’m already eager to see what we can expect in the live event (which hopefully takes place) and afterward with the launch of Season 11.
