In August, EA Sports plans to present the gameplay innovations for FIFA 21 in detail. However, the developer has already announced some interesting new features. We will reveal what changes are expected in the gameplay.
While FIFA 20 had fewer bugs in gameplay, than FIFA 19, FIFA players were not entirely satisfied with the current installment. The slow gameplay, weak headers, and manual defense, which often did not pay off, were frequently criticized.
But perhaps this year EA will manage to excite fans with the right innovations and improvements.
These innovations are promised by EA for FIFA 21
What will improve: With the release of the new FIFA 21 trailer, EA has also released a whole lot of info about the new game and officially introduced gameplay improvements .
And since we can’t yet get a picture of the innovations ourselves, let’s take a look at what the developer promises for FIFA 21. The list includes:
- Agile dribbling system
- Positioning Personality
- Creative runs
- Competitive mode
A new “Agile dribbling system”
What will be new? EA has not revealed much about the new “Agile dribbling system” yet. It is only mentioned that there will be “greater control and reactivity in 1-on-1 situations.” Newly announced are fresh special moves such as:
- Outside-of-the-foot dribbling
- Ball roll turn feint
We cannot yet assess how the innovations will affect gameplay. More agile dribbling and new special moves sound interesting, as long as they are not too powerful.
“Positioning Personality” aims to improve positioning play
What will be new? With the new “Positioning Personality,” world-class players are expected to position themselves better, thus creating more danger. For instance, top strikers are supposed to recognize offside traps even better than average strikers. Likewise, world-class defenders should be able to block passing lanes even more effectively.
We are curious to see how this will play out and whether the difference will be so great that playing with mid-tier strikers like Mario Gomez in FIFA 21 will bring a significant disadvantage.
