WoW Dragonflight is once again full of secrets that are gradually being discovered. MeinMMO shows you some special places that you can only find if you also search for them.
Since November 29, 2022, the new expansion Dragonflight has been playable. During this time, players have had many opportunities to explore the Dragon Isles. There are some special places to discover, such as a singles club – which you are not allowed to enter.
You will visit most places sooner or later for various quests, or simply because they are along your path. However, some special places are off the beaten path, or you can only reach them by performing certain actions.
I have set out to search and present to you 4 places that you surely have not discovered yet.

1. A relaxation lagoon with an underwater bar
In the northwest of the coast of Awakening lies the hissing cave, where some residents of the islands as well as various dragons relax. You might have already encountered the area during reputation farming for Sabellian and Furorion, because one of the dragons you should find for the weekly quest “Dragon Eyes” is located there.
But if you go beyond the NPC and take a closer look at the water, you will find even more. After a daring jump into the lagoon and a few meters of swimming, a bar opens up beneath you.
There, you can not only breathe through water bubbles, but it is also run by Tortollans who sell you drinks, and there is a small dance floor with party-goers you can join.
If you wait a bit at the upper part of the cave, you can actually start a quest for a secret pet, the cute little dragon Spyragos.
2. A secret disco in the capital
Valdrakken, as the capital, offers everything you need: bank, portals, auction house, and an inn for your hearthstone. Right there, in the Roasted Goat, the next secret can be found.
Upon entering the tavern, you find a “strange statue” in the back right corner behind the innkeeper that has your level. As you approach the statue, it tells you: “You must show respect to enter.”
So do just that: use the emote “/bow” and you will be led into a secret back room, the Dragon’s Den. There are heaps of treasures lying around, and you can set your hearthstone there if you like.
Additionally, there are special events there, apparently every full hour. I was able to observe an armed duel between 2 NPCs, and at another event, a party was declared where the guests danced in the middle of the room with disco balls from the 80s and colorful lights:
3. A winter wonderland with playful Tuskarr children
Further south, on the coast of the Azure Mountains, you can enjoy winter all year round. On the small island directly west of the Azure Archives, a few Tuskarr children meet to play, and you are allowed to join.
You can have snowball fights with the kids, go sledding, or build snowmen – which even earns you the achievement: “Do you want to build a snowman?” I found the island during the alpha test and was really delighted.
4. Yennu’s tree house
As the last special place, I noticed a tree house on the coast of Awakening. For the quest for the hidden pet Spyragos, the tree house of the little Tuskarr Yennu in the north must be visited.
The place is already idyllic, aside from the elite protodrake in the background. What makes it so special is the setup: you can reach the tree house not only by flying but also by climbing.
There are boards nailed to the tree trunk that act as a real ladder. By jumping, you can climb the rungs, and eventually, you arrive at the top where you can buy useful gliders, find alcohol, and the dragon of little Yennu. He gives it to you because he has plenty of others – although he was upset about it before.
