Last weekend, Reddit user Decent_snow117 and his friends had particularly good luck with Shinies during the Sinnoh Tour. We will show you what happened below.

Which Pokémon was caught? The big global Sinnoh Tour took place last weekend, and many players gathered to go on a Pokémon hunt together. Among them was Reddit user Decent_snow117, who, along with his four friends, encountered a wild Tobutz. But that wasn’t enough; four of them shone as Shiny.
In his post, he could hardly believe his luck and wrote: What are the odds?
. He also posted a picture showing the Shinies. According to the description, another trainer from their group took the picture. However, it isn’t clear from the post whether he also caught a Shiny.
Why is the catch so special? Encountering a Shiny Tobutz is generally not easy, as it is a regional Pokémon. While some specimens of the legendary Pokémon spawned in the wild during the Sinnoh Tour, it still requires a fair bit of luck to find it as a Shiny.
Niantic keeps the exact chance of getting a Shiny secret, but trainers suspect a rate of about 1 in 20 for legendary Pokémon. Often, only one member of the group can rejoice over such a specimen because which monster appears to whom as a Shiny is left to chance.
Reddit user Marshmallio calculated a probability of approximately 0.000625 %, or 1 in 160,000, in the case of Decent_snow117 (via reddit.com). This indeed represents an absolute rarity and shows how incredibly lucky the friends were.

Trainers celebrate the catch: This catch is definitely something special, according to the trainers in the Reddit community. Many can hardly believe how lucky the friends were and celebrate with them. While some advise them to take advantage of their lucky streak, others suspect that their luck is used up for a while (via reddit.com):

Skeptical opinions: But not everyone is convinced that the Shiny find is real, as it would be way too rare. Some accuse Decent_snow117 of staging the photo. Trainers like AdVegetable5896 are convinced that the images are merely screenshots of a single Shiny catch that were displayed on different smartphones.
However, Decent_snow117 denies this accusation in the comments and writes (via reddit.com): Look at the Ultra Balls on the left, only 2 people are using golden Razz Berries, and the battery percentages are different.
Other users, such as beanaruni, also see differences in the displays and therefore do not believe in a fake.
