A 37-year-old man wanted to play Pokémon GO in a public park with his girlfriend, but a group of teenagers had a problem with which bench he sat on, according to British media reports.
Where does the story come from? The story comes from the site “Kent Online”. The local newspaper reports on an incident in a park in Sturry, a village in the north of Canterbury in Kent County. Kent is located in the southeast of England.
Trainer is shoved and beaten by 6 to 8 teenagers
This is what the victim says: The 37-year-old Mark Fernyhouse wanted to visit the park in Sturry with his girlfriend to play Pokémon GO. They sat down on a bench. That was apparently a mistake.
His girlfriend, Tasha Feuchuk (25), says:
We were sitting on the bench in the middle of the park and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a few silhouettes and then I heard: Oi! There we are.
The woman says she immediately stood up and left, but then realized that her boyfriend was no longer beside her. When she turned around, she saw that a group of teenagers was pushing him.
They had pushed him against stuff in the park and kept hitting him in the head with something. It was dark, but there must have been six or eight of them.
After the woman managed to pull her partner out of trouble, they called emergency services. The 25-year-old says her boyfriend had trouble walking, but they could sit on a neighbor’s step while waiting for the police.
This is how it ended: The police took the man to a hospital, where he received a CT scan and had his wound stitched. He is now recovering but doubts that the police can deal with the perpetrators.
The police say: Investigations are ongoing.
