Overwatch 2
What kind of game is this? Overwatch 2 will be a sequel to Overwatch, which is supposed to bring new game modes, heroes, and maps. Additionally, PvE missions and new story content are planned. Since the announcement at BlizzCon 2019, many players have been waiting for new information and a release date.
What has been announced? Unfortunately, not much. In a short video, only the skins of the heroes Baptiste and Sombra were shown:
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt
What kind of game is this? Bloodhunt is a new title from the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. However, this is not a single-player title but a new battle royale in the streets of Prague.
Focused on the war between vampires, you play in third person and try to eliminate other players. Bloodhunt will be free-to-play and can be played on platforms including Steam.
What has been announced? Alongside a new trailer for the game, the sign-up for the alpha was introduced. Additionally, a beta is expected to take place in July. The full release is still planned for 2021.

Fallout 76 – Summer Update
What kind of game is this? Fallout 76 is set in a post-apocalyptic world following a nuclear war. The survivors sheltered in a bunker. Your bunker 76 was the first to open, and it is now up to you to rebuild the world. You start in West Virginia, America.
To do this, you must find food and water and be careful not to become overly irradiated. Particularly explorers will enjoy Fallout 76, as the game world offers lots of hidden and quirky elements worth exploring.
What has been announced? On July 7, the new summer update Steel Reign will be released. It will continue the story of the Steel Brotherhood, which began in November 2020. The conflict that started there is set to escalate:
- You will be able to join one of the two factions
- The Vault 96 is to be opened
- There will be the crafting of legendary items
- Legendary power armor will be introduced

The Anacrusis
What kind of game is this? The Anacrusis is a cooperative shooter for up to 4 players. Together, you explore a gigantic spaceship stranded at the edge of explored space, where aliens await to be subdued with imaginative firearms.
What has been announced? The shooter will be exclusively released for PC and Xbox and will be included in the Game Pass from day one. Furthermore, you will also be able to obtain the game through Steam. The release is scheduled for Fall 2021.

Sea of Thieves – Crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean
What kind of game is this? Sea of Thieves is an online multiplayer co-op game where you embody a pirate. With your privateer, you team up with other pirates and form crews of up to four players.
Together, you then roam an expansive open world and do as you please. For example, you can explore islands, lift anchors, drink rum (complete with drunkenness debuff), and fight against other ships. You can even board the latter.
What has been announced? The new DLC “A Pirate’s Life” will be released for free for all players. The release is already on June 22.
The focus seems to be the story of Pirates of the Caribbean, as Captain Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, and other well-known faces were shown in the trailer:
Among Us – Roadmap for 2021
What kind of game is this? Among Us is an online game where the objective is to identify the traitor in your midst. Additionally, crew members must complete tasks while the traitors can kill the other players one by one.
The game gained major popularity in 2020 through the Twitch platform.
What has been announced? A roadmap for 2021 was announced for Among Us. The following updates are expected to come with the next update:
- Matches for up to 15 players
- Graphics improvements
- New player colors
- Mobile controller support
These changes are still planned for 2021:
- New game mode Hide & Seek
- A new map
- Achievements and trophies
- Linked accounts across platforms
- Console release for PlayStation and Xbox
Chivalry 2 – New Trailer
What kind of game is this? In Chivalry 2, you engage in large battles in a medieval setting – all from the first-person perspective. You are right in the action as armies clash on the open field, fortresses are besieged, or villages are attacked.
Up to 64 players can participate at the same time, split into 2 teams. Since things were not exactly gentle in medieval times, you will quickly find yourself in direct, brutal duels on the battlefield, where you will strike until death.
What has been announced? A new 4K trailer was released during the Summer Game Fest. The game was already released on June 8 and belongs to the MMOs and online games we recommended for June.
The Ascent
What kind of game is this? In the new RPG The Ascent, you dive into a cyberpunk world where you can fight alone or with up to three friends – online or locally. It is played from a top-down perspective, similar to Diablo.
In the game world, chaos and confusion have broken out because the megacorporation “The Ascent Group,” which owns you and all the other creatures in the game world, has collapsed. Without the protection of the corporation, everyone is left to fend for themselves.
What has been announced? The Ascent will be released on August 19 and will launch directly in the Game Pass.
Lemnis Gate
What kind of game is this? Lemnis Gate is an FPS shooter where you must eliminate other players. However, it breaks with some typical elements of the genre.
There’s a twist that makes it much more strategic: You have 25 seconds for each of your moves. So if you want to attack an enemy or perform specific actions, you need to plan it exactly.
Your opponent faces the same situation, making it a matter of predicting your enemies’ possible actions and gaining the upper hand. The system resembles XCOM but in first-person. Here’s how it looks in the trailer:
What has been announced? The new shooter will be released on August 3 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A beta is set to take place in July.
Genshin Impact – Patch 1.6
What kind of game is this? Genshin Impact is a free-to-play co-op RPG from developer miHoYo. The graphics and open world of the game are reminiscent of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, although this new RPG differs noticeably from it.
Thus, you choose from various characters, each bringing different abilities into the very dynamic battles. Additionally, the game offers co-op for up to 4 players, dungeons, world bosses, and daily quests.
What has been announced? In the stream, there was merely a trailer for the current Patch 1.6. This released already on Wednesday and brought several new features, including the character Kazuha, new housing content, and events.
