However, especially the things that provide players in Destiny 2 a lot of enjoyment because they are very strong, could quickly land on Bungie’s nerf list. To help you enjoy the fun for as long as possible, we reveal three things that you should definitely try out right now.
The start of the current Season 17 was rocky because Solar 3.0 introduced some changes as well as several bugs into the game, which Bungie is still working on.
However, several options have now emerged in the “Season of the Haunted” that not only provide a lot of fun but are currently quite strong. Perhaps even too strong.
That’s why we are revealing our top 3 today and saying: Use them while you can!
Titan Exotic “Lorelei Splendor Helm” – The Easy Mode
Titans currently have a great time in Destiny 2 while resting in their Sunspots in the midst of enemies. But only if they own the Exotic “Lorelei Splendor Helm”.
In combination with Solar 3.0, it unfolds enormous capabilities and heals its wearer almost constantly. This makes it nearly impossible to die and significantly simplifies some activities in Destiny 2.
What makes this Exotic so strong? In short: Sunspots.
- Cauterizing Flame: When you are critically wounded with full class ability energy or use a barricade, you create a Sunspot with improved restoration effects at your location. (via light.gg)
This makes it really hard to die in the game, even if you are surrounded by your enemies. You may not sustain in a top-tier Nightfall constantly, but the damage reduction and healing are still enormous and somehow crazy.

The Improved Weapon Perk “Incandescent”
If you like the weapon perk “Siphon”, but you want even more and bigger explosions? Then in Season 17 you can get just that with “Incandescent”.
What makes this weapon perk so strong? The weapon perk is incredibly strong in combination with Solar 3.0 because it has perfect synergy with it. You can spread Scorch among your enemies and deal continuous damage to them. This is something that Void 3.0 cannot offer, which is why you should definitely integrate a weapon with “Incandescent” into your Solar builds.
- Weapon Perk “Incandescent” – Defeating a target spreads Scorch to nearby targets. With more powerful enemies and hostile Guardians, Scorch spreads over a larger radius.
The perk is available for example on the 900 RPM submachine gun “Calus Mini-Tool”. You can craft this weapon in the Enclave on Mars and attach “Incandescent” as an improved weapon perk to it.
- “Incandescent” Improved: Increases Scorch stacks from 40 to 85.
By the way, this is not a seasonal mod. You can still get and use this perk on weapons in Season 18 and beyond.
What makes the perk even stronger: If you want to become absolutely rage-inducing in Destiny 2, you should not only look for a weapon with “Incandescent” but also equip the weapon mod “Siphon Specification”. This combination significantly increases the initial explosion damage and explosion radius, as player Nodnahs demonstrates here:
The Linear Fusion Rifle “Stormchaser”
The Linear Fusion Rifle “Stormchaser” is currently considered not only a weapon insider tip in Destiny 2 from the latest dungeon “Duality”. It is also the new boss killer. Whether this was intended by Bungie remains a matter of speculation. So, now is the best time to quickly equip this monster in PvE.
What makes this weapon so strong? The weapon features an “Aggressive Frame”, which means it fires a three-shot salvo. This allows you to kill faster and deal nearly 40% more damage to a boss. By combining it with the right perks, you can counter its minor disadvantages and create a killing machine for the Power slot.
How strong “Stormchaser” is was impressively demonstrated by YouTuber and Destiny 2 player Above, who took down all raid bosses in Destiny 2 with it, commenting “Holy shit, that thing is a monster!”.
How to get the weapon: If you want to secure this new monster in Destiny 2, you need to visit the dungeon “Duality”. It can drop in both the second encounter, the “Vault”, as well as with the final boss. The second additional loot chest provides another chance.
Which perks are recommended for the power weapon? In our tests, the weapon’s recoil was sometimes a bit too strong, which is why we recommend a roll with “Arrowhead Brake”. This also provides a boost to handling.
