Warlocks electrify enemies nonstop
This is what Warlocks need: Select the Stormcaller focus as your class. Use the middle Arc tree “Attunement of Control” – that is the Chaos Arc.
As a weapon, again, you’ll rely on Bad Karma. Warlocks use the exotic boots Geomag Stabilizers. It’s advisable to have a special weapon with the perk “Demolisher” for emergencies – the powerful Grenade Launcher Salvager’s Salvo, which always drops with “Demolisher”. A sword or rocket launcher is again ideal as a power weapon.
Use these mods: As a Warlock, you don’t need Elemental Sources, focus only on these modifications for your armor:
- “Charge Up”: The basic mod for “Charged with Light” builds, costs 3 energy, and fits in any armor piece.
- “Energy Conversion”: this is the important mod, costing 4 Void energy and makes your grenade useful for Super generation. If you don’t have it, you can randomly get it from Banshee-44 in the Tower.
- “Stacked”: You need an armor piece with the Void element and 4 energy for this.
- “Charged” costs 2 energy and belongs in Solar armors.
- “Overload”: This mod costs 5 energy and fits only in Solar armors.
- As an artifact mod, “Transient Transfers” is recommended. It costs 6 energy and goes in the Warlock Bond (class item). This way, you can dramatically increase your Super damage while injured – but the mod is not a must.
- To quickly recharge the grenade for emergencies, you can use the mod “Innervation.” It costs 1 energy and goes in solar boots.
This is how to play the Chaos Arc build in Destiny 2
Activate your Chaos Arc and smash everything in your way. You can also cancel the Super early to save some energy. Then throw a grenade to instantly get 25% Super energy. Depending on how many Super kills you had, you also gain up to 50% Super energy on top.
Now kill a few enemies with Bad Karma, collect the spheres, and you will be fully charged with light again. If you’re above at least 80% Super energy, sprint towards the next enemy. Your exotic boots will recharge the last 20% Super energy within seconds while sprinting.
Your weapon with Demolisher or the Stormcaller’s automatic ability “Ion Trace” ensures that you always have a grenade at hand.
The Warlock’s combo is therefore quite simple: fire the Super, throw a grenade, quickly collect spheres, grab the weapon, and then sprint. As easy as it is, it’s also a lot of fun to roast everything with your lightning beam, and you don’t need any help to plow through the battlefield every 15 seconds with the Super.
Titans hit hard and have long Supers
This is what Titans need: Choose the Sentinel as your focus. This is the middle Void tree “Code of the Commander” – better known to Guardians as “the Titan with the big shield”.
Your exotic weapon should be the Auto Rifle Monte Carlo, but more importantly is your arm armor: the Exotic Doomfang Pauldron. Swords or rocket launchers are again ideal as power weapons, and you have a lot of freedom with special weapons.
Focus on these mods: You aren’t free with the mods you install in your armor. This time, a mix of Charged with Light, Elemental Sources, and regular mods for the 2nd or 3rd slot is included:
- “Elemental Well”: belongs to the Elemental Sources mods and costs you 3 energy, but fits in any armor piece.
- “Elemental Charge”: Also a mod from the Elemental Sources category, but costs 2 energy.
- “Heavy-Handed”: this mod costs 7 energy and fits in any Arc armor – it belongs to the “Charged with Light” mods.
- “Firepower”: costs 4 energy and fits this time in Solar armors – you can also carry this “Charged with Light” mod twice if you have enough space.
- “Bomber”: you put this for 2 energy in your Solar class item (the apron Titans like to wear)
- “Impact Induction” goes in Solar gloves and costs 3 energy.
- “Stacked” is installed in Arc helmets, which costs 3 energy.
This is how to play the Sentinel build in Destiny 2
Throw your grenade – preferably the large Voidwall grenade. This creates an Elemental Source that grants you 2 Light Charges directly. Smash an enemy in the face with your charged melee attack (consumes 1 Light Charge) and throw another grenade (consumes the second Light Charge).
This way, you spawn a cycle of Elemental Sources and continuously recharge abilities. Thanks to the mods and class skills, the kills heal you and the damage spreads widely to enemies in the vicinity. The melee kills will recharge your Super rapidly – thanks to the armor exotic.
When you activate your Super, it continuously charges during use and lasts almost an eternity. If the worst nightmare of a Titan occurs and you have no melee attack on hand, use Monte Carlo. The weapon will charge your fists in seconds.
Are the powerful builds just what you need, and since there isn’t much else to do until the Guardian Games, are you keen to try out combos? Do you have any build suggestions or see any potential for improvement? Let us know in the comments.
