Today, things get exciting again around The Division 2. You can expect the new Title Update 11, the new skyscraper mode The Summit, as well as the start of the new Season 3. So a visit might be worth it.
This is happening today in The Division 2: Today, on 22.09.2020, the next chapter of The Division 2 begins. Then Massive’s shooter will get its next major update – Title Update 11 (TU11). This will bring several new content to the game, including the new mode The Summit, which lets you fight your way up through a 100-story skyscraper.
Additionally, the new Season 3 of The Division 2 also starts today. This will also bring new content and is intended to continuously supply the game with fresh content for the next 12 weeks.
We will now present the 3 most important points to you in more detail. Here’s what to expect starting today.
All this comes with Title Update 11
Transmog system and Appearance Mods: This is a brand new feature that some agents have been wishing for a long time. You will receive more customization freedom and will be able to change the appearance of much of the equipped gear – beyond just the color of the gear.
For example, you can adjust the appearance of a chest piece that you find visually unappealing, but want to use due to its stats and values. It will be possible to give it the look of a chest piece that you also like visually – without having to give up the good stats of the original. However, this only applies to gear and not to weapons.

New weapons and gear: With TU11, a lot of new gear comes into the game:
- a new gear set – Hunter’s Fury
- 3 new exotics: a new SMG, a new chest piece, a new backpack
- a new brand (Gear Brand)
- 2 new weapons (also in named versions)
- the new skill variant Shrapnel Trap (available through Season 3)
The new gear is only available to owners of the expansion Warlords of New York.
Agnostic Mods: This is a new system with which gear mod slots for mods of all colors will be unlocked. In principle, it means: All equipment pieces with mod slots will now be adjusted to accept any type of gear mod.
Loot improvements: The developers at Massive are also continuing to work on loot in TU11 – probably the biggest issue of The Division 2. With the new patch, the so-called rainbow loot problem should now be addressed. For example, the first attribute will have a percentage chance of rolling the same color as the core attribute.
Discovery mode for raid Operation: Iron Horse: Some time ago, The Division 2 received its 2nd raid with Operation: Iron Horse.
In Title Update 11, the so-called discovery mode will now be added – for both the level 30 and level 40 version of the raids.
This is an easier difficulty level that, unlike the regular experience, will also offer matchmaking, making it especially suitable for trying out and getting a better feel for the mechanics. However, it will not feature the most sought-after raid loot.
Also in TU11: Besides the already mentioned features, according to Massive, various balance improvements, many bug fixes, and the new mode The Summit are expected, which we will now explain separately.
What’s in the new mode The Summit
What is The Summit? The Summit is a new replayable PvE mode set in a 100-story skyscraper in New York. In the style of the popular Underground mode from The Division 1, you will have to fight your way to the top of the skyscraper – with varying environments, enemies, objectives, modifiers, and bosses. The higher you go, the more difficult and demanding it becomes.

What’s special about The Summit: For many players, this new mode represents a kind of last straw they cling to. Many hope that The Division 2 with The Summit can still turn things around and finally offer more replay value and long-term motivation for its most loyal fans.
Who can play The Summit? The Summit is available as a free update for all owners of the “Warlords of New York” expansion. Without this paid additional content, you cannot play the new mode: What does The Division 2 offer if you do not purchase the Warlords expansion?

What the new Season 3 offers
What’s included: On 22.09., the new season will start with TU11 and The Summit. Massive has also already given a brief look at this. Here’s what to expect:
- Season 3 will last 12 weeks and is called Concealed Agenda
- The new season comes with a new season pass (100 tiers), where access to the premium rewards branch costs 10 €. However, there is also a free, open branch for all owners of the Warlords expansion
- With the season come new seasonal activities such as the traditional manhunt, leagues, and events
- There are new equipment and other seasonal rewards to be earned
- The story of Warlords will be continued with the new seasonal manhunt. This time, it revolves around the leader of the mercenary organization Black Tusk and his followers
