FIFA 20 features some new skill moves. We present 3 skills in the video that will leave your opponents dizzy.
These are skill moves in FIFA 20: “Skill moves” or simply “skills” refer to special moves that can be helpful to maneuver the ball elegantly past opponents. Especially in 1v1 situations, you can easily leave opponents behind with these tricks.
Each skill move requires a specific combination of buttons and the right timing to be truly successful. The perfect execution often requires a lot of practice and proper assessment of the game situation.
But if you like to dribble your opponents into knots and often try your luck in the offense with “backheel, tip, one, two, three,” then you get plenty of special moves in FIFA 20. Three new skills are already known.
Backheel, Roulette, and Setup-Touch – New Skills in FIFA 20
Where do the skill videos come from? The YouTuber Kazooie94 is part of the “EA Game Changers Network”. This means he was allowed to test FIFA 20 extensively in advance, had to provide feedback to EA, but is now allowed to exclusively reveal content. In addition to all new celebration animations in FIFA 20, he now presents fresh skill moves.
These are the three new skills:
- Lateral Heel to Heel: This skill move is one of Kazooie94’s favorites. You need at least a 3-star skiller to perform it. You execute it by holding L1 (LB) and moving the right stick once to the left and then to the right (note the player’s running direction – you can also go right first and then left):
With this skill, the ball is moved from one heel to the other and then kicked in the direction the player is moving quickly.
This skill move is particularly useful for getting past an opponent right in front of the goal or quickly changing position on the field when you are under pressure from opponents, thereby creating space. You can perform it while standing still or in motion.
- Flair Roulette: For this skill, you need at least a 4-star skiller. It is a new variant of the roulette trick, where the player briefly pulls the ball back and plays it almost in the same direction during a body spin. It looks pretty cool. You execute it by holding L1 (LB) and rotating the right stick from back to front by 180 degrees.
You can perform the move while standing still or in motion. This trick is particularly effective when the opponent is running directly at you or is already set to tackle. This way, you can elegantly and quickly get past them.
- Setup-Touch: This is a special move that all players – including goalkeepers – can perform. It requires only one star. You push the ball ahead to the left or right. You simply hold R1 (RB) and keep the right stick pressed to the left or right. If you press forward or backward, the player also performs animations to position the ball in the respective direction:
This skill is useful in two situations: You can use it to set the ball up for a shot on goal and get into a better shooting position, or you use it to let the opponent run past the ball by casually pushing the ball left or right past them.
Are these all the new skill moves? No, further moves will be revealed in the coming days and weeks. Additionally, the Volta mode has a few special skill moves to offer.
