At PAX West 2019, players discovered 3 new exotics from Destiny 2: Shadowkeep in the game. Now we know what these guns can do.
Where does the info come from? At PAX West, interested players currently have the opportunity to try out new features in Destiny 2 and get a preview of some fresh content – such as Armor 2.0 or some new weapons.
Attentive fans have already discovered 3 exotics there that will likely be introduced with the Shadowkeep expansion. Specifically, it is about
- the insect MG, which currently has no official name
- the Void rocket launcher Deathbringer, which bears some resemblance to the Gjallarhorn
- as well as the exotic weapon Divinity – a raid exotic
A Guardian has apparently already experienced the machine gun in action, describing his impressions.
This is what the insect MG from Shadowkeep can do
The MG has already caught the attention of Guardians some time ago. It was first sighted as a real model at GuardianCon in early July. However, there was no further information about it. Now it was discovered at PAX in the playable build of Destiny 2. However, it still does not have a proper name, just a placeholder.
The MG deals Solar damage. The exotic perk is called Pyrotoxin Rounds. With this, the MG fires high-powered explosive ammunition (fires high-powered explosive ammunition).
As the Reddit user VON_TAR mentions, the MG plays differently than previous models. It shoots effectively like a linear fusion rifle, but without delay and drop-off.
The MG is semi-automatic and can hold a maximum of 13 shots in the magazine (3 shots per ammo box in PvP). It deals 150 damage to the body and kills instantly with a headshot (PvP). Overall, this weapon plays very satisfyingly, according to the Redditor.
This is what the rocket launcher Deathbringer can do
This rocket launcher has already caught the fans’ attention in the Gamescom trailer for Shadowkeep. Now it has also been discovered in the game itself at PAX.
The Deathbringer deals Void damage and has one rocket in the magazine. Its exotic perk is called Dark Deliverance. This allows the launcher to fire remote-detonated projectiles that drop void orbs on enemies. In the trailer, these void spheres also followed the enemies. To fire, you press the shoot button. If you release it, the projectile detonates.
This is what the exotic weapon Divinity can do
This exotic weapon was first sighted at PAX and apparently comes from the raid. The Reddit user tehr0b rummaged through the raid collection in the menus and discovered this new exotic there.
Divinity deals Arc damage and has 194 shots in the magazine. The exotic perk is called Judgement. Continuous damage from this weapon envelops the target in a force field that weakens and disrupts enemies.
What do you think of these 3 new exotics? Are they making you excited for more?
