In August 2018, several interesting multiplayer titles will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Three of the upcoming releases look particularly promising and are worth a closer look.
July 2018 already brought some new online titles that managed to captivate numerous multiplayer fans despite the nice summer weather – such as No Man’s Sky on Xbox One, Earthfall, or Warhammer Vermintide 2.
But August 2018 also has some exciting titles in store for multiplayer enthusiasts – including:

Overcooked! 2
What is Overcooked! 2? Overcooked! 2 is an arcade-style cooperative cooking game and the second title in the Overcooked series.
What is it about? Together with up to three other chefs, you will cook your way through a variety of completely crazy kitchens.
Amid various obstacles and all kinds of dangers, your task is to prepare and process certain food orders under time pressure. You’ll need to prepare and process the right ingredients, cook, serve the meal, and then clean up – all against the clock and for the highest possible score.

Without a common enemy, the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance escalates again – an unrelenting war ignites. This is where Battle for Azeroth comes in.

What’s included? In this classic old-school RPG, you enter a world of almost limitless possibilities. You can create your own character or take on the role of one of the six pre-made characters, with whom you then embark on an adventure journey – in isometric perspective.
Alongside the story, there are hardly any limits to the possibilities for exploration and experimentation. You can go wherever you want, talk to whoever you want, and interact with almost everything you encounter in the world.
The turn-based battles are also well represented. You can unleash magical elemental combinations, use height to your advantage, and master more than 200 skills across 12 skill schools.
The Definitive Edition contains thousands of changes that have been made based on fan feedback since the game’s release. But many new features, such as the overhauled journal, map markers, tutorials, or a new difficulty level, as well as a comprehensive reworking of the last act of the game, define this new edition.

F1 2018
F1 2018 is the latest installment in the racing simulation series by Codemasters and offers an authentic Formula 1 setting, all 21 original racetracks, and all current drivers of the ongoing season.
The biggest change compared to its predecessor is a comprehensive overhaul of the career mode.
In multiplayer mode, a super license and a new, Halo-like matchmaking system are also supposed to ensure that you encounter opponents with similar driving skills.
F1 2018 will be released on August 24, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (PES 2019)
PES 2019 is the latest representative of the football simulation Pro Evolution Soccer, which will be released on August 28, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
This year’s new features include, in addition to 4K support, a whole range of gameplay changes. For example, there will be eleven new skills. Another major change is found in the stamina system, which has been completely overhauled.
Furthermore, there have been some significant changes regarding licenses: In addition to the Danish, Portuguese, Belgian, Swiss, Scottish, Argentinian, and Russian leagues, the Netherlands’ Eredivisie, the French Ligue 1, and Brazil’s Serie A for 2019 have also been added.
Moreover, the legends have been upgraded: Romário is exclusive to PES 2019 alongside Beckham. Two established game modes – myClub and Career – have also been tweaked.
In multiplayer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 can still be experienced locally with up to 8 players and online with up to 22 players.
