What kind of game is this? Final Fantasy XIV has an unusual development history. Because when it was first released, the game was a terrible flop. However, Square Enix did not want to accept this, so it was thoroughly overhauled and re-released in 2013.
Through regular content updates and expansions like Shadowbringers, the game has been continually expanded and improved. It has now become one of the largest MMORPGs alongside WoW and ESO.
FF14 stylistically resembles classic Japanese RPGs. It places a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. The combat system is classic tab-targeting and somewhat static and cumbersome.

How much PvP is in the game? PvP in Final Fantasy XIV takes place largely disconnected from the rest of the game. You unlock PvP at level 30. From then on, it becomes possible to visit special battlegrounds for PvP.
Within PvP, there are several modes, including a 4vs4 arena, a skirmish between 24 players each, and large battles with up to 72 players. While the PvP mode certainly has its fans, the majority of Final Fantasy XIV players engage in the PvE mode.
