Resident Evil has a vampire who is 2.92 meters tall. Destiny 2 has a turtle lady who measures 2.99 meters and is quite harsh on the Guardians on Twitter. But some are into it and beg: ‘Please step on me.’
Who is this beautiful turtle woman? The 3-meter-tall and quite military turtle is the beautiful Empress Caiatl, formerly known as the no less beautiful turtle princess Caiatl.
The Empress of the Cabal is the main antagonist in Season 13 of Destiny 2 and arrived right after “Beyond Light.” She is the daughter of Emperor Calus, a decadent emperor turtle who once resided in the raid “Leviathan” and was defeated years ago.
In Destiny 2, Caiatl is somewhat strange: She treats us, the Guardians, like errand boys. And suggests that we should finally submit and fight alongside her against the Darkness. That would only make sense. She doesn’t understand at all why we are acting this way.
Moreover, she has already attempted to have the blue dwarf himself, Zavala, killed. Apparently in response to the actor Lance Reddick recently harshly insulting her on behalf of the Guardians.
From her perspective, the fight between Guardians and Cabal is completely unnecessary and only benefits the “true enemy” that will soon invade. The Guardians need the Empress’s legions.
After Guardians in the game apparently still refused to follow her reasoning, she is now active on Twitter and posts the hashtag #joinCaiatl.
Turtle Takes Over Official Twitter Channel of Bungie
This is the latest joke: Currently, the gaming world is excited about the giant vampire lady from Resident Evil Village, “Lady Dimitrescu.” Bungie has recognized the signs of the times and put their giant lady in the spotlight.
Since March 8, the official Twitter account of Destiny has no longer been boring “Destiny 2,” as it has been for years, but “Caiatl, Empress of the Cabal.”
The turtle boss has taken over the Twitter channel of Destiny 2. Even in German (10,008 followers), the princess now responds directly to the Guardians. She provokes them and engages in verbal battles with cheeky Twitter users.
They should finally stop whining and submit to her and join her.
“Step on me”
These are the most beautiful statements: The big show is happening on Bungie’s English-language Twitter channel (2.5 million followers). Here, the empress has already fought several duels.
A user asks the princess: ‘Hey, have you ever regretted betraying your father Calus?’
She replies: ‘Life is a series of choices, triumphs, and regrets. Have you ever regretted not saving Cayde-6?’
Ouch, nasty low blow. Many fans still miss Cayde-6. And regret her role in the end of the sharp-tongued rascal and heavy drinker.
Some requests to Caiatl are surprisingly intimate. Yet, a turtle lady does not let herself be talked to.
Streamer DrLupo asks the princess ‘Please walk on me.’ But he only receives the refusal: He is speaking with an empress, the mistress of legions and the Cabal. He is already far beneath her.
The next one asking the empress to step on him receives the next rejection: He should rather not face a challenge he can’t survive.
What’s going on with ‘Step on me?’ The expression ‘Step on me’ comes from Asian mangas. There, it is a phrase that aggressive, large women step on “rather submissive men” who throw themselves before them. It is apparently a kind of sexual fetish from the S/M direction.
This doesn’t necessarily have to be understood. In Final Fantasy XIV, there was once a rogue who fits exactly into this “step on me” mold.
If you’re eager to be insulted by the empress, then tweet her nicely! Maybe she’ll step on your feelings too.
It is quite possible that behind the empress’s mask, the German community manager replies.
